Lady, that hair is gorgeous!! My experience with salons was totally opposite, when I would go when I was younger they would ask my mom, why doesn't she relax my hair bc it would be easier, consequently I never relaxed. But,I too want straight hair for the holidays so how did u find a good salon that has experience with natural hair? What brand and type of flat iron did you recently purchase?
I am just over a week natural and your story is a lot like mine growing up i had long hair as well and i've always been know for it which made my transition and big chop a little scary but for the most part i've learned that every one hair grows an half an inch a month meaning every two months u can expect a full inch of growth, so in a full year u can expect to get 6 inches of growth so i think that your hair is growing normal and regular trims kept away breakage great vid and your hair is nice

So I will definitely be professional trimming because I too just don't feel comfortable trimming my own!! Thanks again for making this video..very helpful and inspiring!!!!!

you look so pretty and i cant wait till mine gets that long. i have not used direct heat since last december. no perm or big chop just stop heat styling my hair. you are an inspiration to all.

Being a lazy natural can get you some amazing growth! Im 3 yrs in and Im at tailbone length I've never had a trim I just search and destroy
