  • Uhh does this ever scare u when it just pops up on your TV randomly ? o -o

  • @Rainqowz yes

  • I hate wen they pop this stuff up to test it! Scares the shit outta me

  • Cool vid :)

  • I have Dish network and that happened when Rhode Island had that flood

  • @PedroyItatiFan r u ok

  • i hate the begning sound GAAH Dx

  • But DISH has the European DVB-S and DVB-S2/HD.

  • BRRRRRR! I have shivers down my spine!

This alarm doesn't play where I'm from, but I remember watching an American television station and this alarm went off when there was a suspected child abduction.

  • where did you get the voice

  • @raceing91 read the description, it has a link to the site.

  • that not good

  • why do the warnings always sound so fucking creepy!

  • The voice in the beginning sounds worried

  • @patchspiritkwolflion i noticed that myself and it's weird how a computer Text to speech audio program/site could make it sound like that.

  • how come almost everytime I watch a EAS broadcast system, it has to do with S.C

  • HOLY STARCLAN!!!, I Had a Tornado Warning Yesterday, and The Eas Warning Sounded EXACTLY Like This...

  • my heart skips a beat when l hear that sound!

  • mine too! there was one on tv like 20 minutes ago i was watching mythbusters and when it came on i nearly shit my pants!

  • wenever i hear 1 a dese i tink of END OF DE WORLD

  • i agree with everyone it's scary

  • I did one of these for a zombie movie i was working on.

  • EAS alerts give me goose bumps. I remember the EAS when Hurricane Charley hit. I already knew about the hurricane, but there's something about those warnings.

  • I had a bad experience with that beep in 4th grade. It was near the end of the school year in summer (tornado season) and my teacher had the radio on to listen out for the broadcast. She heard the beeping, and the entire school had to sit in the hallway in the position where you crouch and cover your head. We sat like that for 3 hours straight , just waiting. And all I remember was it being dark, my classmates crying, and that beeping. Luckily nothing came, but I was so terrified.

  • me too iam a afraid of that i accidentally dream of it!and in my dreams the sirens comes alive instead of a tornado!

  • when "real warnings" come across the tv about a tornado I panic I HATE that noise

  • me too, my heart jumps everytime!

  • I jump for a sec but I love the sound for some reason. Same with the sound of fax machines and Weather Sirens.

  • how did you make this ?

  • It's fake the scrolling bar along the bottom is from windows movie maker

  • And notice the word "mock" in the title. Of course it's fake.

  • How would they do this for a specific warning area if Dish Network is satellite?

  • THE BEEP IS SCARY AS HELL

  • CDS

  • i have dish net work and it never shows up wen there is a tornado warning and i get alot cause im in illinois is there a certin channel that does this?

  • Wow, good thing I switched to DirecTV. I don't want to see this fucking up shows I'm watching, because I have shitty weather up here in Michigan.

  • DEAS (Digital EAS) is required on all satellite television... (read: DirecTV, too.) It isn't slated to be released for a while, though.

  • "Thankyou for having us as a cabel company" Even though there is and Emergency LOL

  • I hope dish doesnt do this, its annoying!'

Get a friggin weather radio if you live in tornado land.

  • ??? will dish net work really will do this I live in Arkansas and storms are crazy here and I never seen any thing like this and I have dishnetwork

  • U no that red bar that comes? they make it go so fast u cant read it!

  • Can I ask yall somthing? WHY AND THE FUCK DOES IT HAVE TO ALWAYS SAY FORT WORTH!!! GWAD I LIVE THERE!

  • that's because the North TX chapter of the National Weather Service (the people who issues severe weather alerts) is based in Fort Worth. other times alerts in our area are sometimes issued by the National Weather Service's National Storm Perdiction office in Norman, OK.

  • where do you get the amber alert sound in this video?

  • actually that's not the Amber Alert sound, that's the EAS sound, which you can find that at the Wikipedia page about the EAS

  • where do you get the amber alert sound?

  • hey

  • What Program did you use for the voice?

  • AT&T Natural Voices, it's a website, i'll add the link in the description.

  • This shit is creepy, can't they get carrot top or George lopez to be the voice over for these kind of things

  • Yeah, make a joke out of it. Like during a tornado be like

"A tornado warning has been issued for _____... HIT THE FUCKING DECK!"

  • rotfl!!!!!!! ahahaha that would be awesome!!! then have the sound of explosions and debris... oh and a tornado....

  • yea dish network does it. but im not sure if i saw it a dish network one or a television station one. cuz i was watching late late show with creig ferguson on CBS., and they tested it.

  • we hae dish network!

  • Would this like effect everyone or just the people who were in the path?

Also, is DirecTV going to do this? I have it and don't want it screwing my show. I'd get pissed if it was for somewhere in Calafornia and I'm somewhere in Maine! (I don't live in Maine. i live in ohio)

  • DirecTV already does this, so yes. I saw a test of it yesterday, and I redrew it and posted it as a video.

  • sound like he is scard

  • On the part when he says, "to find out more on this emergency....." the voice was kind of creepy!

  • Cool!

  • I always get scared, i like fucking turn off the tv and hide under my sheets or run into my parents room.

  • i start panicing and run outside.

  • Every time i hear the static and the message following my eyes "Water" and i get scared to shit then hide in the closet.

  • holy...

  • thats not what it is ur just using movie maker

  • rofl this is the one and only thing i get scared at when i was young. every time i heard it i hide in the closest.

  • we had a dish amber alert the first day i had my dish,i was about to call and ask about it then it went off,i got it on my phone and i'm gonna post it

  • we had a DISH amber alert yesterday

  • dish network doesnt even do any weather warnings, have to get it locally

  • dish gets amber alerts =)

  • okay people that FREAKING NOISE IS TO ALERT PEOPLE AND THEY GO LIKE OMG WHAT IS THAT SOUND LETS FIIND OUT OH ITS A TORNADO WARNING OKAY!!!SO STOP THINK ITS TO PISS U OFF!!

  • It is like the Eas is trying to make a horror movie!X-o

  • The FCC requires DISH to add EAS messages.

It will likely look like a cable tv message. They are also required to comply. No wild tones just the data burst and a message crawl

  • Is all that noise neccessary?? Seriously the EAS really knows how to scare people

  • the message will follow:[bad noise happening]

  • It's melting my brainNNNNNNNN

  • tornado at huntcounty

  • Tornado spotted on the ground near Highway 1063, Greenville, Texas

  • this made me shit my shlf

    its srcare

  • I Just did a great Mock up of a New York City Tornado Warning! CHECK IT OUT NOW!

  • Holy Shit A Twister Fuck *Slits Throat* Tv says This Is Just A test

  • I have DirecTV and they're going to do a monthly EAS Test in the near future.

  • They already had one for me yesterday.

  • time warner dos it to with the top bar thing

  • time warner dos a warning dos it to

  • thanks for telling us wat this lookes like! im getting dish soon!

  • i had dish network and they never did this for us.

  • Thats Because This Person MADE Up This Video, This Is Fake, But They Might Do This SOmeday.

  • yes, that's why this vid is called a Mock version. thanks for explaining it for holycraps92.

  • They cant do it on a localized basis because they spot beam the signal. Thats why they only offer a generic version of The Weather Channel.

  • Your wrong. All boxes know what zip they are in and the messages will be digital crawling text messages for a ser zip code. No problem doing it and the FCC requires it

  • @Clayranger89 NO its real i have dish network! i got this every week during tornado season

  • CHANNEL and the local CHANNEL...lol

  • HOLY FUCK a tornado *barricades door*

  • were did you get the voice from?

  • This Is AT&T Mike, You Will Find Him If You Google The Following,"AT&T Text To Speech", That's Where I Got Him.

  • Hey, I Have Dish Network! LOL!

  • When I Went On You Tube For The First Time Ever, This Was The First Video I Ever Saw On You Tube In My Life! LOL! Nice Job!

  • get ready people with Dish Network. this will happen on a regular basis. for the weather bulletin or amber alert. the one alert type i pick to do this is an tornado warning.

    ----------

we have a test once a week

  • i got you letter, just wondering what time did they do the EAS test. is it in the mornings.

  • actually, they do it around 7:30 or 8:00 but sometimes they do a "surprise" warning in the after noon but one time not to long ago it was going off every five minutes come to find out it was a real one for a thunderstorm warning which is weird for where i live ROFL

  • the reason why i asked, is because you knew about it, and i not an morning person, so i don't get out of bed to see the EAS Test on Dish Network channels, plus where i'm living at, we ain't had a lot of bad weather, just pure rain.

  • us 2

  • How could this be possible to do... unless someone knew exactly where your receiver is. No one at DISH really ever actually knows where the receiver is.

  • That's the Real SAME System that you're hearing. right, boutitbenza699?

  • yep, that is. i have a SAME weather radio. so i know what the SAME tone is.

  • Not a test, then why is this a mockup of an EBS?

  • THATS FUCKIN SCARY WITH THAT TONE!!!

  • That's pretty awesome...Great Job

  • CARDIAC ARREST!

  • Why thats Mike from the AT&T Text-To-Speech Demo!! Go Mike!!!!

  • Does DirecTV do that??? That's kinda crazy.

  • I don't know about DirecTV but Time Warner Cable does.

  • Thats why cable-tv sucks!

    Annoying cable commercials,and weather interruptions.

  • That sounds like speakonia.. lol

  • I'd rather move to the Northeast,

where we don't have to worry about either

    tornadoes or earthquakes.

  • yes, but you do have to worry about a ice storm.

  • it DONT make sense to say "I'd rather move to the Northeast where we don't have to worry about Tornadoes" i mean what kind of a idiot would say something like that? because twisters are common in places like Sulffork County, New York. also, the Northeast has Severe Thunderstorms too.

  • those are scary

  • i know, i cry a little

    lol

  • Hay, I had DISH NETWORK with local channels. We had a couple tornado and other weather warnings. We never had this happen on our TV's.

  • i like ur's 2

  • We just had a tornado warning in my county around 4pm today, and I have dish network. The eas thing didn't come on though.

  • that because Dish Network doesn't have the things that cut off the programming to bring the EAS message yet. they will have it soon or later.

  • dude i had heard the same thing (only not dish network!)

  • well actually there different, in earthquakes you dont know when there gonna strike, so that really sucks, as for tornados, you can be warned before they hit. but ether way, those Emergency broadcast systems scare the shit out of me

  • me too

  • tthank god i live in california

    we only have earthquakes

  • i rather take an twister than the land shaking. i think tornadoes and earthquakes are just two diferent kinds of natural disasters.

  • i think im going in to cardiac arrest

  • thanks!! boutitbenza699

  • I have dish but there has never been a alert=S,i know why?

  • i sure it's because Dish Network hasn't got the stuff to do this yet. the interactive TV feature will end up having it in a few months anyway.

  • scary!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Would the EAS go off if a nuclear weapon went off anywhere in the United States?

  • i do belevie the anwser is yes.

that was the main reason the Goverment created the EAS system (under the name Emergency Broadcast System.) to warn us about an possible attack. the EAS didn't go off on 9/11 because the EAS system for NYC was in the World Trade Center. plus the US didn't really needed it with all the networks on TV showing what was going on that day anyway.

  • Ya, but it always says "The national weather service" And the EAS system was in the Trade Center? I didnt know that....but still, 9/11 and a nuclear weapon are 2 very different things.....unless a nuke was put into each tower but if thats the case, all of NYC would be ground zero.

  • I doubt it. They wouldn't let us know anything as not to cause mass panic

  • Omg, over here in El Paso, we had 2 tornado's, and it happened during school. Didnt let us out though, and it wasnt rlly in the city, but still, El Paso has never had a tornado.

  • i want to get that warning tone for my ringtone or my iPod

  • Lol. The EAS would be a badass ringtone for your phone, lol.

  • LOL! This is funny "Tornadooo" Great Video lol!

  • HOW YOU YOU MAKE THIS

  • Go to the internet, while there is a tornado comming to kill you!

  • the voiceover says that for the area's not affected by the tornado part of the storm. or the area that will be hit, but that before they get hit, seconds before the tornado sirens goes off in the area in the path of the tornado

  • true. The thing to do is get your but into the

designated storm shelter (be it the basement, storm cellar or barring those, somewhere safe in the center

    of the house).

  • LOL "MSN...BC!"

  • the space in between the n and the b is because of the Natural Voices thing messing up on the reading of the the word MSNBC

  • "Thanks for being a loyal customer, but there has been an emergency." LOL!!!!!

  • Well, I Have Dish, But There Has Never Been A Test Whatsoever...

  • uhggggggg Stop it! this is sooooo Annoying

  • I agree with the Cable network operator to disruted the channel to bring the inportant notice for tornado Warning Alert... Beacuse the States of the cities has hit by tornado in the year. A tornado warning broadcasting system was be issue... Tornado can come anytime in morning, afternoon, evening and midnight anytime in anywhere and tornado will not tell us weather is F0-F5 tornadoes.

    Regards

    StarWorldOP

  • Does anyone know what font is used for the Emergency Alert System displayed on the Black Screen that Comcast uses? I can't seem to find it...

  • how do u get the warning tone from 00:11-00:17?

  • it on the Wikipedia page with the info about the Emergency Alert System and then click on the links of ogg files of the EAS and download all of them and convert them if you don't have a player to play the ogg audio files.

  • for what is this sound???

  • that sound in between the EAS sound and the Important info voiceover is the S.A.M.E. sound, it is for NOAA weather radio with the S.A.M.E. technology built in it. it makes it go off if the county you live is under a watch or a warning or both. i have one of these kind of weather radio and i love it better than the old weather radio that didn't have the S.A.M.E technology.

  • thx for the answere;)

  • great i got adish network!

  • Also... to make it look authentic... DISH Network does not issue tornado warnings... the NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE issues weather-related emergencies. Dish Network only issues Required Weekly/Monthly Tests.

  • i was trying to make it to where the dish network was seen in it. and i know that the National Weather Service issues the warning but a while back duribng a storm event (before i got Dish Network) i saw Ch.29, a spanish language TV station show the EAS scroll for a weather warning when they have the EAS go off. they didn't say the detals of the storm besides the name of the type of storm warning. and they don't mention the national weather service in it.

  • and the part where they are required to do this, i haven't seen an EAS test on Dish Network outside local channels and on wikipedia, it said that Dish Network and Directv is will be required to do this beginning at the end of May (this month). and do you have Dish Network or Directv or Cable. please reply back with your Answer.

so thanks Geno2733 and Saxman1806 for giving me your comments.

  • Usually, when the NWS issues warnings, they put on a live feed of the NWS Radio after the Header Burst (First three tones of the EAS). My state (PA) pushed through mandatory EAS co-operation with cable and satellite providers ever since 9-11.

  • This is already happening... by the end of march of this year, ALL cable AND satellite providers were REQUIRED To have an EAS system running.

  • I think this is a great idea. this way no one will have a reason to say they had no warning :)
