  • My parents had this too on 78 rpm. The flip side was "Thumbelina." We played it so much we wore out the center hole badly.

  • it's ok i guess

  • I miss the old days when there were record players. The old days where good

  • This was absolutely fabulous! What a wonderful holiday treat! I had completely forgotten about this original. Great sound too! Thanks!

  • Awesome. We had this very disc, flip side "Thumbelina." Played it to death...

  • My aunt had this record and would play it on her wind-up record machine. Thanks for posting this and bringing back great memories.

  • This is the recording that was used in the August 1,2010 -- Mad Man Series

I had not thought about Jimmy Boyd in a long time.. the show brings

back a lot of memories of the 50s and now 60s...younger people were

probably hearing him for the first time.. us older people remembering

as a kid in 1951..thanks for posting..

  • this 78 may be one of many to be press for the juke box that had light tracking arm

I have juke box that plays 78's and u could get 60's 78's that was made in Vinyl for 78 juke box

  • Amazing. Good job.

  • Neat recording and good quality from a later 78 pressing. I see it says unbreakable. Is it vinyl?

  • @wb5oxq i'm not sure, it's a compostie made out of plastic but it's not as fragile as vinyl on the recording layer and a cheap pourous plastic core. Not flexible. It's as heavy and thick as late 40's columbia records. my other 50's comlubia record is full vinyl and thin.

  • It probably is pretty cheap plastic as this particular recording is on Columbia's children's label. Plastic so children couldn't break it as easily but not top quality vinyl, to make the record cheaper to sell, and also because sound quality is not quite so important to a child audience.

  • @Zefrenm all records are terribly fragile, i accidently droped a 45rpm once and it broke the edge of the record and so it was fucked, i so wish we had back then wht we have now
