Two years ago, I was part of a five-week program teaching acting, singing and dancing to a group of developmentally disabled adults and teens. The last day, the staff and volunteers sang this to the actors to let them know how we felt about them and how much the experience had changed all of our lives. There was literally not a dry eye in the room, and thinking about it still brings me to tears.
This may seem depressing, but I want this song to be sung at my funeral... It just means so much to me and the meaning behind it seems just perfect - even though we're parting, being part of eachother's lives has influenced it so much

This Is a beatiful song and i love it soooo much. My grandpa died a couple months ago :'( I sang this to him the last time i saw him because it reminds me soooo much of him. I also sang this at his funeral. It was almost impossible to get through it without crying but i did it. 15 likes and i'll do a cover (:

I'm a Senior and i wish i did more in high school and my choir went to New York, sang the national anthem at a mariner's game twice and i went to state in five categories last year. One of my good friends passed away the other day, and her funeral was today. A soloist sang this. Camille was only 16 when she was taken from us. I've always loved this song, but it has a whole new meaning now. RIP, Camille. Fly high, gorgeous.

Two years ago, I was part of a five-week program teaching acting, singing and dancing to a group of developmentally disabled adults and teens. The last day, the staff and volunteers sang this to the actors to let them know how we felt about them and how much the experience had changed all of our lives. There was literally not a dry eye in the room, and thinking about it still brings me to tears.

I listen to this song every day. My very good friend was in theatre and she sang this song for our school performance wicked. She was amazing and I miss her every day but I hear this song and just feel so much better. She died last march in a car accident. R.I.P. Megs! Love and miss you!

Me and my friend sang this at our Leavers service, it was the first song we did as a duet three years ago and we've been mega close ever since. It kinda became our anthem, and everyone cried when we sang it at the assembly. It's just such a perfect song. I would love it if you could take a listen. This song will always make me think of my four years in my high school's concert chorus. Those were some of the best times of my life, and I'll definitely never forget them. As long as I'm living in this area, I'm gonna keep going to the chorus, and even band and orchestra concerts, since they're always fantastic. :D

My Sweet Sixteen had a Phantom masquerade theme, but a karaoke machine led to singing general Broadway. My best friend since second grade took the stage, putting on this song. I was nearly crying even BEFORE she called me up to join into the duet. By the end I was practically blubbering. Every time I listen to this song, now, I have to smile and cry remembering that, even five years later. I don't think I can ever find a better friend than her. :' )

My friend is moving away today, and this song had been stuck in my head since yesterday. I've only known her for a year, but we were both involved in theatre, so we became friends fast. I'm going to miss her so much, and this song definitely reflects how much she meant to me.
