Thermite is NOT illegal to use in the US it's not counted as an incendiary device because it only burns at 400 degree Fahrenheit which means it only burns if you use a magnesium fuse, a microwave or maybe an oven (which I do NOT recommend) to make it you mix 2g of iron oxide with every 1g of aluminum powder. please step FAR back from the flame... unless you are using ice it won't explode... the heat is up to 4000 degrees Fahrenheit 3 times hotter than molten lava! enough to burn your face off

It is Aluminium + iron oxide (rust) + ice

if you want to make this get some aluminium and make it into powder file it or w/e idc then get some powdered rust and mix it to a ratio of 8:3 which is 8 grams/pounds/tonnes of aluminium POWDER to 3 grams/pounds/tonnes of Iron oxide (rust) POWDER. Put it in a container on some ice. once you have done this then get a magnesium strip and use that to ignite it there you go...:D

Well if you put Thermite on ice you will get an explosion. It's like "energy + H2O -> 2H + O". In simple terms the thermite will turn the water inte oxygen and hydrogen gas which will ignite and then explode. Simple as that...
