I saw a CIA documentary in which president Reagan has said something like this,' if I step out of the car and doesn't smell trash, I will think I am in the wrong place'. It's pretty obvious this is about appeasing China's officials, and President Obama is obliged to obey China, especially since China owns 3 Trillion of US debt.
