It made no sense, if I couldn't afford the $12 then how was I supposed to afford the $35 on top of it? I bank with Intrust now, they charge me $0 to keep a balance of about $250.

Justice should prevail is all I can wish for. I am skeptical about the wealthy giving up their greed without a lot of bloodshed. Politicians will protect them till the very end as they are indirectly funded by them for their election campaigns. There are deep rooted friendships between corporate heads and politicians which are hard to break. Ultimately people power can make a difference. If all the money spent on wars was instead spent wisely on development projects this could have been avoided.

Now, they are saying that the protests are because of some police ALLEGEDLEY pepper spraying some protestors, whilst ina cordon.

Walstreet and Washington have been incahoots for far too long. They bank lobbyists push polititions to pass the housing reform of the late 90's which was said to help the poor buy a home. What it actualy did was proect banks from being sued for predatary lending. Now the market is flush will bank owned forclosed homes they they will sell at a profit and they get bailed out. I used to have an account with Bank of American but in order to escape their $12 monthly maintenance fee, you must keep a daily balance of at least $1,500. I don't have $1,500 a day to keep in the bank and sometimes that fee would send me into overdraft. It made no sense, if I couldn't afford the $12 then how was I supposed to afford the $35 on top of it? I bank with Intrust now, they charge me $0 to keep a balance of about $250.

No newspapers or television media were used to spread the word beforehand, and it wasn't until those cops pepper sprayed people that they got some coverage. Even now, almost no press coverage other than the internet. There are people who still haven't heard of the occupations.
