Hey Gary, if you have the game, do what I did and get inside there, then try to climb the ladder, darkness wasn't really the problem, it was the fact I kept pressing the Y button to climb and it wasn't doing anything. It finally did after about 30 seconds like you said.

Your suppose to shoot all those chains and when the heart falls you shoot it then you get the HULK COSTUME......

Yeah, ladders that aren't against a wall or that are in the water really hate you in that game.
