This needs to be done in French ski resorts. How many lives could be saved if this kind of information could be linked to a resort tourist office website? I'm writing from Val d'Isere where 4 people died in an avalanche yesterday.

Am a keen skier from the UK, I'm not a meteorologist but am interested in snow pack and weather conditions before going off piste, just like the last comment I find your description of slope angle, aspect and recent weather events both informative and valuable knowledge tools.
