  • This always reminds me of Bobby Singleton, with whom I attended Spring Hill College in 1947. Ramona was Bobby's girlfriend, and he was crazy about her. When she told him they were through, Bobby took it to heart and shot himself with his 30-.06. This is true, and it still makes me want to weep, some 60 years ago.
