this dance has nothing to do with mexico, i have been in mexico before and i have never seen people there dancing like this....we should upbuild our children not put them down with out any facts.

cada dia inventan una vaina nueva, esta bien que el folklore evoluciona pero es eso: evoluciona no se deteriora.
En el desfile de las mil polleras habian hasta pegadas con gomas de escarcha, muy feo. Aprendan a hacer polleras autoctonas o no se pongan nada mejor.
Más respeto por los niños que han hecho su mejor esfuerzo, se nota que Ud. no se ha metido en los rincones de La Chorrera, donde este tipo de baile es muy común, y no precisamente es de México. No tiene sentido que un 15 de Agosto estemos bailando a lo Mexicano, a lo mejor tiene mucho tiempo de vivir en los USA, dese una vuleta de nuevo por acá.
más respeto porfavor. vayan al museo mi pueblito, ancón en pty y verán las muestras de polleras de antaño y las variantes de las mismas. tenemos 9 provincias y 3 comarcas, definitivamente habrá variantes y variaciones en las danzas. y que ni se confunda con los bailes de méxico que tienen costumbres e historia diferente a la nuestra.
saben q todos deberian de estar contentos de q hay alguien q se tomo el tiempo de poner algo de lo nuestro.....y no sean tan payasas hablen espanol q nada le cuesta

Repito, el baile aqui NO, es el tipico - sea el Punto, la Cumbia Panamena, el Tamborito,o la Tamborera.
This is all wrong. It shouldn't be passed off as Baile Tipico. THAT"S Mexican dancing - with the wild stamping and swinging of the skirts, and fast pace. Panamanian dancing is slower and more stately. The costumes are off- the material is neither calico nor the "Talco en sombra" embroidery. And the shoes of the girls, seem to be the typical Mexican heels used in their folk dances. The boys pants are too long.
Me, being someone who has danced these traditional dances in shows, I have seen these fast pace dances. I think you've ovbiously never really seen different dances danced to different tempos of music because the so-called "stomping" and swinging of the skirts is done a lot....
But I do agree about the costumes, maybe a little off but you never know whether in a different parts of Panama they wear their costumes in that way. It can be diverse too.. maaan.
