  • With out a doubt he,s playin in the

    great gig in the sky

    R.I.P

  • Sounds too modern *slap* needs some magnetic tape to fill that gap that robs this of its energy. Or A muuuuch better mixing guy sound engineer type character.

  • you just hate black people

  • NICE!

  • I only found out who Billy Preston was today when I bought the One More Car, One More Rider Clapton DVD, and when it to "Have You Ever Loved A Woman"....WOW, BLOWN AWAY, this guy has serious skillz on the organ

  • This has been on my "favorites" for a few months now and every once in a while like today, I go back and watch it. Like blaueseekuh, I never knew Billy could "cut a rug" like he shows in this video. And I've been a fan since the 70's.

  • Thank you for the vid! nice concert!!! I have never seen Billy Preston dancing, fun!!!! he was a very nice person and a great musican. R.I.P.

  • Thanks to Billy Preston it´s a great performance!

Clapton - love him as a songwriter - but isn´t too brillant in fitting into the groove, i think.

  • Very nice!!!!!! Great singer, great song!! Congratulations for this vidéos! Billy Preston is one of the best singer of 60's/ 70's on rock/blues. An d for me, this song is one of the best!

  • Very nice!!!!!! Great singer, great son!! Congratulations!

  • Luv ya Billy, guess the good Lord needed someone to jam with! He got the Best! R.I.P

  • LOVE IT LOVE IT-Kicks sphincter-Oh by the way clapton ain't bad either

  • yes... ridiculously amazing ... excellent!

  • Have you seen, "Have you ever loved a Woman" with Clapton and Preston right before Beatle number 5 died? Close your eyes and it's just as inspiring, but to look at him is sad.....

That would have been at the first Crossroads festival....

  • Preston is ridiculously amazing

  • EEEEEEEXXXXXCEEEELLLLLLENT !!!!!

  • so funny dance

  • Nobody to match em!

  • I played with Billy on the set of the David Brenner show not on the air but we did Caledonia for Brenner and his gorgeous girl friend and Regis Philbin's wife Joy who was also a dish then was also there.. Billy's work on the Clapton CD of Robert Johnson tunes is some of his best work and the DVD CD of the Tribute to Robert J is maybe the best music video ever done in many ways..Billy shines throughout..God Bless you Billy RIP my friend..

  • GRAN TEMA

  • I LOVE THIS SONG!! Billy preston is awesome and i love Eric's solo.

  • what's the dvd's name?

  • One more car, one more rider

  • this is just priceless! Clapton and Preston collabaration!

  • Clapton plays a pretty good backup guitar - he may have a career at this!

  • hey estos si que son grandes ehhhh exelentes

  • Someone who sadly never got the recognition he deserved... except he was the only one credited alongside the Beatles on one of their singles! ('Get Back') Fantastic performance here, and I still have the 45rpm vinyl! Thanks so much for posting it.

  • I got this song a record with 7 female back-up singers they called them selves The Power of 7 and Billy Plays the hammond on this tune on that record, great players there!

  • LOVE IT!!!!!!!

  • My favorite clapton show on video ever.

  • i love billy... rip.. buddy... your music always made my day!!!!

  • Can someone tell me what concert is this?Thank you!

  • It's the 'One More Car, One More Rider' dvd

Think it was recorded in LA

  • no in japan, in the budokan arena

  • no

it was recorded in LA at Staples Center

  • yes, i'm sorry, you're right

  • it doesnt get any better than this! love it when billy calls out to eric: come on e! this is the shit!

  • They call him "The Great" Billy Preston. Now you know why.

  • Billy Preston - a man with great talent and showmanship! I saw him perform live in 1972 at a club in Chicago. The Brothers Johnson were part of his band. A great show! Not many performers today can compare.

  • AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Holy fuckin shit thank you for posting this. This is the greatest live music video ever!!Billy Preston was one of my top 3 favorite musicians in the entire world. Nothing today moves people around like the raw funk of Billy Preston. This is even more breathtaking watching a live version of this awesome song. And what better sidekick to have than Eric Clapton? There is so much talent on that stage it frightens me.

    Great vid!! 6 stars!

  • "Noting today moves people around like the raw funk of Billy Preston", natureboy84 wrote. I agree man, I agree. But on one condition: You *must* watch Billy Preston and his song 'That's the way God planned it' (find it here on youtube), performed during the Concert for Bangla Desh, also with Clapton. For me that was THE song that introduced me to him long time ago. Can't see that piece enough. He was a special man, a very special man.

  • ME TOO! The absolute JOY he put into his music and the LOVE in that song... it still chokes me up to this day. I'm going to go listen again.

  • I agree! They all kick butt!!! They're all incredible musicians!

  • This song fucking kicks ass.

  • Yes indeed RIP Billy you are missed.

  • buenisimo

  • The River of Tears from the post by judasbmx.

  • Watch the drummer on River of Tears towards the end...particularly at 6:35.

  • Thx dannyknapp...didn't know who the drummer was.

I have this on DVD and CD! The band never took a rest break and that drummer kicked ass the whole time...drenched in sweat towards the end.

Kudos to Eric, Billy, Nathan, Steve and that other guitar player and pianist.

  • xolods..thanks..its on Amazon and will purchase..Have read some good reviews of the concert..Love when "E' tiptoes his guitar when Billy dances around...Great Stuff!

  • That performance is....Perfect!

  • What a fantastic pairing!!

  • yes, Nathan East on bass and Steve Gadd on drums is hard to beat !! oh, did you mean the guys playing the show-off parts ? lol.

  • I meant Billy Preston & Eric Clapton .

  • oh, they're pretty good too.

  • Hahaha...i reason to live happy!!!

  • you know you made it when you get to play with Billy Preston, brosef.

  • Exactly

  • You know you've made it when you refer to Eric Clapton as "E". Yeah baby...

  • comon e lol

  • Does anyone know if this concert is avilable on DVD..seemed like a great show..(Boobie alert..1:58)

  • Yeah, it came out a few years ago. I'd check Amazon or ebay, or even a music store such as FYI or something -- the tend to have a lot of the concert DVDs from the 60s, 70s, 80s...

  • Yep. It's called "One more car, one more rider". It was released in 2001 or 2002..

  • Thats' "One more car, one more rider" Eric Clapton live, but this song isn't presented on CD version... So get the DVD, it worth it ;)

  • Billy was and is MUSIC__THANKS Billy.

  • if i am sad,i listen to this and i am ok...thats magic

  • Man this song is Tight!!!! i absolutely love it i could watch it over and over. Best song ever.

  • grt vid m8. check put some more grt music and follow my link. the greatest young band is awaiting you

  • that's what I call passion!

  • Darn I just wrote a comment on Carly Simon's version of "Blackbird", could not find the Preston-version, now realize, he is no more... Just three ways ago, I listed to my girl those "BPs": Billy Preston, Billy Powell, Bill Paine.

I'd better shut up. NO! Wait: George Bush. Vladimir Putin, Hu Jintao, Robert Mugabe. Now, let's see...

Darn. Billy Preston, I liked his music !

  • That was supposed to say "three days ago", not weeks.

  • you can see that Billy had fun on this one and he appreciated "E" on the stage that nite. RIP Billy..you have us joy!

  • look him dancing!

  • eric is such a smooth guitar player

  • TIGHT !!!!

  • I just realized who Billy Preston was, such a great man.. Sad that he past on..

One of the best live artists i have ever seen!

  • I love Billy Preston. I grew up listening to his music. He played on a couple of the Beatles last albums and If they wouldn't have broken up John and Paul were going to make him an official Beatles member. R.I.P. BP

  • billy really lives the music...amazing

    just like ray charles

  • i love his dance too

  • i'm going to miss Billy presten

  • Damn I like this new version of this song, but check the old "will i go round i circles" video out, and see the Billy as young. I have this Eric Clapton DVD with this track on, and it's really good.. love Steve Gadd to.

  • ya thats steve

  • is that gadd back on the drums ..im pretty positive

  • yeah that's the man :]

  • DAMN!! What a great clip! RIP Billy.

  • I'm a big fan of Eric Clapton...but WHAT a voice Billy Preston got!!!

    Amazing, nice video.

  • man, what a voice

  • AWESOME SOUND!

  • Billy Preston is God!!!

  • does everybody knows Billy played the keys on The beatles Let it Be??

  • The piano was paul in thati think. Billy played on "dont let me down" and "get back"

  • Paul played piano, Billy Played the organ..

  • For my thirteenth birthday my mom and I went to this. I'll never forget it. R.I.P. Billy Preston.

  • Tremendo feeling de esta cancion!!

  • wouldnt mind having this as an mp3

  • Ah man i would love to play the drums on this song...so many fills running through my head...all good though, all good

  • In his later years, preston looks a lot like billy dee williams, which is rather unfortunate.

  • a beatle

  • The keyz make the whole song that funky!

  • Would anyone here on youtube do me, and pretty alot of others, a huuuge favor and tabbing this song.. The few that are already on the different tab sites are really shitty. This song is so great and would love to play it. :-)

    - laters

  • I'd do it, if I could do it...

  • really? You rock dude :-) !

  • Here's a radical idea, why don't you just sit down with a recording and take some time and listen to it and learn it? Yeah, I know, it would actually take effort! Oh no, not that!

  • Well, as there are alot of great guitarist on youtube, who are kind enough to make the effort and tab a song by ears, i was hoping that one of them would be wathcing my comment..

  • awesome

  • hey julio go back to mexico.

  • WOW! they did this one together! what this one's on?

  • it's on the One More Car One More Rider DVD/CD.

  • a great musician

one of the greatest keyboards player

    RIP billy

  • I love that blonde girl in the vid, they should have given her more camera time

  • Is there any full concert video of this show available?

    Where can I get this?

  • Billy had soul in his bones like brother Ray... bet they are playin' up there together right now. Bless you.

  • Does anyone know where I could find this in an audio format? I have looked everywhere. Thanks for any help....god bless Billy P

  • I can send you this to your e-mail adress ...

  • Oh, can I too!? :D

  • Eric C's style fits this funky jam perfectly. Couldn't have asked for a better guitarist on that stage. We need more Billy Preston's in this world now more than ever.

  • But how many of you can claim they played with Billy??? I did in the Avenal State Prison Chapel Band in 1998.... And at a jam in Hollywood in 2000.... I could actually call him a friend... He was a great guy!!!

  • have a video?

  • We were in prison... doing time...

  • I read he was charged with an assault or something.

  • Violation of Parole... Contributing to the delinquency of a minor... Basically he was busted when his parole officer dropped by and he was watching porn and smoking cocaine with an under age male.. He did 12 months straight.

  • Was the guy rich?

  • Nobody can and ever will play the Hammond B3 Organ as did the late Billy Preston. Greg Allman and others are Excellent B3 Musicians, but Billy Preston is a Prodigy.....maybe like Jimi Hendrix/Duane Allman/Clapton/Stevie Ray Vaughn and the rest of the guitar world. RIP Billy Preston you blessed the world with your music. Note see Billy Preston Video: "Music Is A Voice Of God" ... Masterpiece.

  • maybe Rhoda Scott ? enfin d'après mon humble experience

  • NICE JAM!

  • this video deserves only five stars-why would anyone give Billy Preston less. I just love the guy- I had a guitar teacher who was Black and had the same passion for music, Archie Williams Junior. Billy was in your face saying get into the music folks, yeah. He energy was contagious, not only great, but real.

  • "Everybody likes some Kind of music",first album I heard from this marvelous musician,1973, for never forget. God bless his soul and the joy he left with all of us.

  • I love Preston, its a shame i didnt check out his music until i heard about his death

  • We miss Mr. Billy Preston

  • Billy Preston is great. God bless you brother Billy. RIP

  • Billy Preston was one of those rare talents...the music and charisma just flowed out of that man. Gone too soon from a world that is in great need of joy. R.I.P. Billy

    BP God rest you soul!

EP,SG etc.. keep on doin' it!

  • anyway, this song is awesome :)

  • fender is the best imo .

  • Fender is the best imao .

  • Gadd has no business being on this stage with these guys. None at all. Get off.

  • such bad assmofo's!!!!!!

    ive always loved and appreciated

    Billy AND claptons soul..

they pour out like an august rain......

humble spirits as far as the eyes can see

    me2

  • Um, EC swtched to Fenders about 30 years ago!

  • A lot longer ago than that -- he played only Fenders on the Derek and the Dominos sessions in 1970.

  • Billy Preston Rules!! As the Kinks used to sing, Where have all the good times gone!! I don't see any on the Billobard charts today. Coporate music, American Idol garbage is a diservice to the Philly SOul, Garage Rock, British Invasion pioneers of yesteryear.

  • Ummm, one of his greatest songs was performed on a Fender. It's name was "Brownie". It was a 56 Stratocaster.

Now what are you talking about???

  • I thought the SG had the mojo in Cream, just an opinion

  • THAT'S the mojo !

  • Man dit swingt de pan uit!!

Heerlijke muziek van een stel heerlijke mannen!

  • AWESOME SONG BY TWO TALENTS

  • man he is dead, give him some respect. you're the perfect definition of a cock

  • I respect Billy Preston just as much any person here. He was truly a magnificent songwriter, as well as a great performer.

However, that being said, that doesn't mean that I can't make fun of a bunch of old guys on stage, regardless of whether or not they're dead.

    Who's the overreacting "cock" now?

  • I saw Clapton play Tampa in May of 2001 with Billy. The piano solo to Layla was amazing. RIP Mr. Preston.

  • BOOYA I LUV DIS SONG MAN HOLA

  • Yeah, Billy you got a story,...one hell of a story..

you are a sweet soul and I know you are flying with the angels..

  • That'll be Nathan East on bass, not forgetting Steve Gadd on Drums - wow, what a band!

  • Anyone know who played bass on this performance? The guy is solid & NASTY!

  • This is the truly great stuff you hardly ever hear on the radio anymore!

  • Fuck yes!

  • There was a second man, who played a b3, but you can't see him!!!

  • foot pedals?

  • Maybe he threw it into a "loop" while he was jumpin' 'roun'.

  • this is great... but I noticed one thing... how come you still hear a b3 playing at the part where billy preston is up clapping his hands and dancing around nowhere near a b3? lol

  • Gees, this is great! love Billy P. RIP Billy Preston

  • cookin', totally cookin'
