As a "fundie" Christian, I find the "creation museum" to be a hoax. I believe the Bible, but also awknowledge scienfific data demonstrating our world being 4.5 bil. years old and that dinosaurs never existed with us. If you Google "Answers in Creation", you'll find a website that demonstrates the Bible and genuine science (NOT pseudo science) are indeed compatable WITHOUT conflict.. Hope it helps clear up any misconceptions.

Mastadons and Wooly Mammoths are not dinosaurs. The only evidence creationists have for this claim are the Paluxy footprints (supposed human & dino prints together) which even some creationists 23 years ago said were prints by another dinosaur (Time Magazine 30/6/86). BTW guys, I was joking lol. My point was early science/philosophy was off to a good start, but was later almost completely suppressed by the Catholic Church. Giordano Bruno who postulated that the sun was just another star was burned at the stake for heresy in the 1600s. There were also others that were either put in house arrest, threatened or otherwise told to STFU if they proposed anything that went against the religious dogma of the time.

Now, the big bang theory is more widely accepted by scientists, and creationists argue against it. Oh, let me make one point more clear. The easiest way to cause is through selective breeding... we know in this manner that specific traits are passed along... if a trait is introduced to a species and this trait helps it survive (mutation or otherwise) then this trait will be more apt to be passed along. Do this millions of times and you garner entirely new species of animals.
As for witnessing I guess you've never heard of bacteria or viruses.

Mastadons and Wooly Mammoths are not dinosaurs. The only evidence creationists have for this claim are the Paluxy footprints (supposed human & dino prints together) which even some creationists 23 years ago said were prints by another dinosaur (Time Magazine 30/6/86). As stated before drawings of supposed dinosaurs are no-more proof they co-existed with man than drawings of Horus or Superman are proof they existed. People can & do draw make-believe creatures.

I would actual say that religious faith is a mental illness. It can be likened to depression in that many people suffer it in a mild form that has little effect on their lives. However people can suffer it in more & more serious forms. In its worst form people may harm themselves and/or others. Exactly the same can be said about religious faith.

What about the moderate christian hypocrisy over atheists writing books & speaking out against religion? They question why atheists are now being so vocal & should respect the believers views. Well after 1800 years of being persecuted atheists now find that they can speak out without fear of jail or death. Saying religion is crap & its followers deluded is not hate speech. Personally my atheistic openess has allowed several work colleagues to also come out as atheists.

I disagree with that statement about the Greeks but christians did burn a lot of innocent women accused of being witches. Also read what they did to the Cathars. Then there were 200 yrs of crusades, etc, etc. Yes the christian religion has a lot of blood on its hands. OK you haven't done those things but like the catholic church covering up pedo-priests, mainstream christians denying their faiths bloody history is just as bad.

BTW guys, I was joking lol. My point was early science/philosophy was off to a good start, but was later almost completely suppressed by the Catholic Church. Giordano Bruno who postulated that the sun was just another star was burned at the stake for heresy in the 1600s. There were also others that were either put in house arrest, threatened or otherwise told to STFU if they proposed anything that went against the religious dogma of the time.
