Hi all I've been to Bequia from 5 now December to 28 December. It is a beautiful island, I recommend everyone to visit. Full of beautiful beaches, especially Princess Margaterh and Lower Bay. I live in Europe and the trip to Bequia is a bit complicated, but to build a new airport to St. Vincent will have it easier. On Bequia living my friend Michael, I recommend him to go to the bar: Diamond Bar in Friendship Bay! Enjoy! Jack

I was in Bequia this past spring for a wedding. Absolute paradise. If you have the opportunity to go, I strongly reccomend it. I loved the fact that there are no hotels and cruise ships don't dock at the island. Stop by Jacks Bar on Princess Magaret Beach and ask "yellow" the best bartender there for a BBC.

bequia is as a matter of fact located SW of the island barbados, and an aditional 90 miles more south than BARBADOS !

It is my dream to go to Bequia and teach through the Peace Corps. Anyone have any information about teaching on the island? I already started my application process. Is is a good idea for a single mature woman to go there alone for two years? Where would the Peace Corp put me up in housing? I am a sailor and SCUBA diver. It seems like paradise far from New York and the Wall St. madness of having to have money and credit.
