Horrible decision by the judges. Joslin won hands down and not just because I'm from Canada, not just because I'm from the same city as Joslin, but because he legit won that fight. I came back re-watched the videos and still believe Fitch pulled the close 29-28 victory. The first round he almost knocked Joslin out, therefore he gets the round (if the knockdown was a headbutt it was unintentional so suck it up). The second was Fitch's with control and take-downs, and as we can all agree Joslin pulled the third out. I guess you all think Joslin won the first because his take-down, but after he got it he had barely any striking and weak control.

joslin is such a good fighter. i personally think he dominated this fight. jeff is such a good guy around the gym too,always was good to me and always willing to help others get better. its a shame we cant see more of him.

If I were a judge sitting ringside, I would have given it to Fitch because I saw the headbutt in the first round as a legitimate knockdown. But If cameras/instant replay were available, I'm sure the judges would have noticed the headbutt and would have awarded the nod to Joslin, as he earned the victory(and I'm saying this as a huge Fitch fan). But since no such resource was available, I actually agree with the decision, minus the whole timeout thing.

I was at the event live, they cut the time frame of the timeout in half, to edit it for TSN when it was on TV weeks later.. The fight was really a victory for Jeff Joslin by TKO, 45 seconds into the 3rd round...
Joslin: ROUND 1- 10-9 (Howver, the headbutt was scored as a knockdown, so Joslin would have lost a point in round 1 for that)
Fitch: ROUND 2- 10-9
Joslin: ROUND 3- 10-8 (Completely dominant round which should have ended when Fitch calls a timeout from getting his teeth punched through his lip)
So even with the ref being a complete degenerate and re-arranging the rules of MMA by allowing Fitch to recover and then continue, Joslin still won that fight on points...

The first round was close. It's up for debate. I had Joslin winning it. As for the timeout, there are easy solutions. If a fighter calls a timeout, the ref should warn him that there are no timeouts. He then asks him if he wants to quit. These rules are cut and dried. If after saying to the fighter, you can't call a timeout, and he does it again, he is DQ'd. Fitch was gassed, hurt, and looking for a way out.

Fitch should have lost when he complained about his lip and took a time out. joslin suffered a broken nose and lost teeth in the first round from that bullshit head butt and still kept going Joslin should have won hands down

This fight was in Quebec... the boos mean nothing because it's like Serra TKO'ing GSP in Canada. The crowd will still boo Serra. Fitch lost round 3 but owned the first 2.

No one cares about the fact that the crowd was booing during the timeout... IT'S THE TIMEOUT THAT PEOPLE CARE ABOUT !! There's no such thing..
I was at the event live, they cut the time frame of the timeout in half, to edit it for TSN when it was on TV weeks later.. The fight was really a victory for Jeff Joslin by TKO, 45 seconds into the 3rd round...

My scoring is:
Joslin: ROUND 1- 10-9 (Howver, the headbutt was scored as a knockdown, so Joslin would have lost a point in round 1 for that)
Fitch: ROUND 2- 10-9
Joslin: ROUND 3- 10-8 (Completely dominant round which should have ended when Fitch calls a timeout from getting his teeth punched through his lip)
So even with the ref being a complete degenerate and re-arranging the rules of MMA by allowing Fitch to recover and then continue, Joslin still won that fight on points...

`i woulda gave it a split decision for joslin mainly for the headbutt in round1 .. that soulda been the only reason for the fight having a timeout call..

WTF are you guys talking about?? Do you have any idea of the rules in MMA, or how to score an MMA fight?? Joslin won the 1st round, the knock down was a headbutt.. The 2nd round was Fitch's, the 3rd round Joslin technically tko's Fitch, THERE ARE NO TIMEOUTS IN MMA!! THE FIGHT WAS OVER!! the only people who say Fitch won that fight are the Jon Fitch Nut Huggers!!

rematch for days. joslin was doing real well on his feet and on the ground. i think fitch's kicks won it for him and also that knock down in roudn 1.

Fitch should've been DQ'd with the timeout. Even without the timeout, I had Joslin winning the first and third rounds. How Fitch won this fight is beyond me.

The first round was close. It's up for debate. I had Joslin winning it. As for the timeout, there are easy solutions. If a fighter calls a timeout, the ref should warn him that there are no timeouts. He then asks him if he wants to quit. These rules are cut and dried. If after saying to the fighter, you can't call a timeout, and he does it again, he is DQ'd. Fitch was gassed, hurt, and looking for a way out.

FUCK'N BULLSHIT!! Joslon won that fight at the beginning of the third round. That was the 2nd timeout Fitch received in that fight!! And the filming was edited before it was televised, they didn't show how long Fitch took those breaks for!! The only damaging thing Fitch did was an illegal headbutt!!! I think the ref smokes the same kind of crack that the judges were smoking!!
