@FireJigglypuff2310 Actually, from what I heard, the Japanese version is harder. The stages are roughly the same, but the bosses are more difficult. Air Man was difficult (w/o Leaf Shield) in the American version, I'm guessing he's HELL in the Japanese one. Same for Wood Man (who was really easy in the American hard mode).

Air Man's difficulty in particular is completely irrelevant. It's the vibe of that one boss who you simply, cannot, defeat, or perhaps are just simply not on level terms to deal with. You have fought one such boss in one of the games you've played, I know you have. Go sing about the fight that bugger gave you.

Item 2 is needed for heatman's level, Leaf shield is needed for airman, heatman's weapom is needed for woodman. It's a cycle.
