@Hellstrom03 : Those are surface piercing propellers, they can improve efficiency, reduce propeller drag and allow the use of a larger propeller diameter without increasing the draft depth of the craft. They can also work at rotational speeds that would cause cavitation damage to normal propellers of the same diameter, as they entrain air to get air bubbles that are compressed instead of the collapsing vacuum bubbles that cause cavitation pressure singularities.
