among increasing boost as compared to the regular tt, the tts also uses a larger turbo.

@MrBabirusa - it's pretty much a different engine. It's the same specs/dimensions but the block and crank are stronger, it uses an aluminum/silicon alloy head, and it uses a larger turbocharger. So there's a lot more involved than a computer tweak to generate more boost. They've also updated the internals for durability's sake.

I know it's pedantic but a professional car reviewer should know that S line is a trim level of Audi's regular cars. The TTS is an S model, not an S line!

the difference between the TT and TTS is the optional stuff.

U can put magnetic ride and the S interior and exterior package.

BUT.....the only thing that u can't put on a simple TT is the engine..because it has 270 HP 2.0...in rest u can upgrate from suspension to anything.

@GabrielKore The 2.0T that Audi uses in the TT is easly chipped to 250hp/298lb of torque. The other difference is that the TT uses Haldex II AWD system while the TT-S uses Haldex IV which is much more aggressive. You can upgrade the Haldex II with a chip from Haldex themselves to get the II system to act similar to IV (but not 100% the same).

Its about time they did a S version of the TT, however it seems to be exactly the same car as a s3 only with a TT body. Which is a pity.

They should of turbod the 3.2 with about 330bhp which would fit in nicely between the s3 and rs4.

Well my friends the TT RS is around the corner offered only in manual, i guess too much power for the auto.

This is really going to kill the spot.

Personally prefer to spend less on a bmw135, get the power chip for 2000usd and have a 380hp power house for half the price.

Agreed/disagreed. My dad used to have an '05 IS300 with a manual, every time I drove it I felt involved and had a ton of fun. Now I have my own '02 IS300 with dual clutch sequential tranny, and shift buttons on the steering wheel. Yes it's less annoying in traffic and everyday situations, but I still prefer a manual on weekend rides. Just more fun!

that retard should really read up on what S-line is and what S is... they're two different things. S-line is an option exterior or interior package... S5 S6 or TTS is something different... you can have a TT with the S-line package... you can not have a TTS S-line... TTS has its own exterior kit...
