Lotus Notes is an excruciating, disgusting piece of software, it doesn't matter what version you have or what you use it for... it boggles the mind that human beings actually pay IBM to acquire it. It should be the opposite - IBM should be paying all of its users punitive damages to use it...

a way, I mean a waaaaaaaaaaay toooooo bloated app this is. sooo many things that distract the user, like all those buttons, toolbars, colors, frames geez

same with products of other companies, like m$

guys that make i.e. such calendar apps.. do they know how a real calendar works or how in reality a person would use a calendar? or an email client?

maybe its me only but the point is the interface is toooooo bloated, sry thus its not easier as they claim at all.

what is a lotus ID and how do i configure it on a server?

When you create a new user on the server you have the option of creating a notes ID file for that user. Usually the user can just open Notes and enter their name and password and not worry about it.
