The real problem is poachers and loss of habitat in Africa where the animals naturally live. Who cares if someone in the USA has an exotic pet?

@888564342432 Poachers don't only kill the animals, they illegally and cruelly transport millions of live animals to countries like the US every year just to be sold as pets. It is a huge problem and is nearly as big of a problem facing wildlife as habitat loss and other forms of poaching.

I can understand that tigers, lions, and bears probably don't make good pets, however you can't say that all exotic animals make bad pets and you can't say that all people make bad exotic animal owners. Some people are very good with their animals. Its the stupid people that don't know what they're doing that end up taking their "chimps and gorillas" to exotic animal sanctuaries. The majority of exotic animal owners aren't into these types of animals.

This lady is a hypocrite. She's saying that it's ok for her to keep these animals caged up at her place, but it's not ok for anyone else to have animals at theirs. If she is strongly against animals in captivity, than why does she own/work at a place that keeps animals in captivity. She's is one of those exotic animal people that runs a rescue shelter as an excuse to keep exotics. It makes me sick.
