i dont think ichigo has ever really been in love. he just wishes to protect those close to him. whether it be senna, rukia, or orihime, he just wishes to see them safe and happy. again this is just my interpretation.
This is why i dont like Ichigo he thinks he has to protect everyone i like Ulqiorra and his constant calm murderouse fighting style even when facing True hollow Ichigo and he may have died but that shows when ichigo's power is being used to it's full extent he is unstoppable.
