it is very nice that mel brooks gave us an explanation for how 13 men wound up on the same side of a table. religionists had pondered this question for centuries.
it's a great scene and movie, and yet i think that the movie-makers made a mistake near the beginning of jesus's statements at the table. the movie shows jesus saying that one of them would betray him 3 times. in the bible, he said that one of them would betray him, and yet he didn't say that it would happen three times. the bible has another passage, and in that other passage, jesus told peter that peter would deny jesus three times. the movie-makers must have confused the 2 separate passages.

actually there are tons of different groups that claim to be christian, and thus it's important to find the right one. about 5 years ago, i switched from baptist to catholic. it's important to remember that the true christian church had to exist ever since apostolic days. no protestant or baptist sect has been around that long. good bye
