  • yeah i see them in the subways all the time.

  • cool rats !

  • i love that their tails are half white! so cute!!

  • cute! I like the way they follow her around!

  • cute!

  • @Oreztar exactly

  • man those rats are so cool:D

  • You're so right. I highly doubt the disease rate for rats is higher than any other domestic animal

  • @shoponline831 Domestic rats in particular are extremely clean, and they carry no diseases which can be passed to humans. There is nothing a domestic rat can spread to you. Even dogs and cats can spread harmful conditions to people, but it always seems to be rats who get labelled as dirty.

  • @Oreztar You're a witch! Those news of giant rats attacking babies should be blamed to people like you.

  • @MrTaipan55 None of my rats are 'giant' and I have no babies in my house, so try again. Unless you can explain how a loving, gentle pet rat in a cage in my home could have access to a baby, or be inclined to attack it? Im waiting.....

  • I have a dumbo rex rat and he's the size of one of her babies. But I want to get one of these rats too. I'll keep them in separate cages and never leave them alone together. Do you know where I can get one?

  • the babies are so cute! They're kind of like the size of regular rats but with huuuuuge feet :D

  • Where can you buy a Giant Gambian rat? How long do they live and what is the best size of cage to get for one? Also, I'm curious, do they get along with normal fancy rats?

  • I love Rats, but these kind of are a large problem to areas of Florida.

  • I think she live in sweden.they are legal here...

  • Is it normal for there last half of there tails to be white like that?

  • Yes it is

  • 3.08 mom wait 4 me... huhuhu

  • how much are they?

  • how long do they live?

  • about 7 years

  • their are even bigger rat species than this

  • yes there are

  • @Tattobullet

where did those rats come from

  • I have kept rats for years dont at the moment. Id love one of these rats one day. So cute.

  • man i would love one of these. You wouldnt have to have it in a cage. It would be so much nicer on the animal. I love my girls to bits but you just cant cuddle them like you want to. :D

  • i see some ppl saying (so cute) whats so cute in that? this is the biggest rats i ve ever seen ,it makes the one so disgressed,so terrified!

    omg

    what those rat eat??????

    lol

  • @sweetkittensarah21 Those rats eat baby faces. They also eat people's penises and boobs.

  • Aww. That cute... I want so bad.

  • I know that some GP rats get along fine with regular pet shop rat.

  • It's certainly not worth taking a gamble on a creature's life. Yes, there are instances where the two species get along but only with intense socialization and supervision. The bottom line is that a GPR is a wild animal. I'd never personally put my rats in any position that could be dangerous.

Also, don't support pet shops. Go to a rescue or responsible breeder if you'd like to own pet rats. Mills like pet shops are not to be encouraged for any species be it rodent, canine, or reptile.

  • thats so cute how big was the litter?

  • Three babies. :)

  • Har nyligen upptäckt dessa djur och jag blev direkt förälskad i dem! Var i Sverige kan jag köpa dem? Har redan kollat upp fakta om dem och sätt mig omkring på nätet utan att hitta något... :/

  • Comment removed

  • Does this speicies get along with just a regular pet shop sold rat?

  • Yeah sometimes. you have to try.....:)

  • Those little pups are adorable.

  • Amazing creatures.

  • this rat is already in Florida,,

  • Your rats are so cute =) I have a normal sized rat and he's a handful as it is =P

  • @shanker420: I do hope, you don't have just ONE rat!!!

they are social animals and need to live in an group...

  • err clearly there was more than one rat?

  • what web site did you buy this one on

  • The rat is bought in Sweden....:)

  • Did you import it to America? I heard importing was still illegal... did you have to do some kind of licensing to import them, or were you able to do so because she was captive bred? Are you selling your babies at all? I've bred exotic animals for years, and have wanted to bring giant Gambian pouched rats back into American breeding programs.

  • @karaokekills Florida Keys invasion by these UGLY PESTS should be blamed to these stupid rat lovers. American authorities should renew the ban on ownership of these UGLY creatures. Vigilante groups should be formed and report any person owning those UGLY DISGUSTING CREATURES.

  • oh the babies are so cute! i love how they follow their mom. where do you get this rats anyways?

  • I WANT!

  • Are they counted as rodents?

  • Yes they are rodents with very strong teeths :)

  • In that case... hide all the cables! ;)

My normal-sized rats have done so much damage at home already - we're too soft with them...

  • I bet they are waaay smarter than chihuahuas, right?

Id def. like to have one.

    They are amazing!

  • Oh yes they are...:)

  • got damn son!

  • I LOVE them! So cute.

  • Thats a big azz rat.Looks like a cat.

  • How big is a typical gp litter?

  • 1-5 babies

  • Wow! The little one follows her around like a puppy! Very cute!

  • Wow, it's the REAL Ratatouille! I'm assuming they cook for you and bring you breakfast in bed.

  • They're adorable! I'm guessing you're in the Uk though. In the US we don't have people breeding them yet. That I know of.

  • The baby looks about the size of a normal rat !

  • Now..where to get one?

  • Can you get a baby rat when they are like really small like that from a pet store? Cuz my rat Ginger is getting a little old and when she .. passes.. i wanan get 2 new ones. And i want them both young so they can share a cage and not HATE each other.

  • Usually they have to bee 5-6 weeks before you can separate them from their mother.

  • oh they are sooooo cute i want one but i dont no where to get them from:(

  • Gambia, lol. :-)

  • lol can u not get them in britian :(
