OFP2 has no dedicated servers and no possibility for modification at all. There is no community. Check the 100+ page refund threads.

I play ARMA2... So i know what tactics mean. And your wrong. I tested missions in DR on highest difficulty. I could drive a car and kill all enemies in something that looked like a village (very bad made villages). I got shot in the leg - that was all. Try that in ARMA2. Good luck. ;)

hasn't a patch on ArmA2 or OFDR with regards to reality due primarily to the engine, and I used to play BF2 for a while. I'm more sold by ArmA2 now though after having tried the aircraft out, OFDR has the same kind of physics for aircraft that you'd see in BF2.
If you want brain power for any 'sim' (and to latent extent 'game'); try Lock-on modern air combat. One for the seriously switched on/fast of reflexes.

@ronnymp5 Every game is different and special. Ive played the BC2 and it was pretty good. MP was better of course than MW2 but SP was... well i wouldnt play it second time. Unlike MW2, ive played it over 5 times. (But well i guess thats matter of taste wich one you will like more BC2 or MW2). I'm not a fanboy nor BF's nor CoD's (Half-Life ftw! xD) but i still respect them both since they both have a "gold" in them. One has better SP other MP.

This game looks TOO real. I mean, some of those shots looked like I am acutally looking at the military channel or something. Can't wait till it comes out. It seems like a realistic version of GRAWF because it seems more tactical than your run n gun CODMW2. Of course, I am definitely buying that, as well.
Art "screenshots" and pre-rendered videos. Codemasters must have a mess on their hands if they're being so coy with real gameplay footage. They only showed a few minutes at E3 2009, a month after the game was supposed to be released.
All those shots are pre-rendered or touched up with some Photoshop magic. They're quite old too as Codemasters seem to be a little reluctant to show us actual ingame footage in great length, which usually means it's not as good as they hoped or promised lol.
1) Operation flashpoint 2 will feature China and USA while Arma II will feature Russia and USA (having Russia is much better)
2) The realism level will be much higher due to Arma having true makers of OPF 1, Bohemia, and not codemasters. We can also judge by the realistic/antimated videos Codemasters throws at the more younger audience.
3) The game is more focused on a military simulation and real-time tactical decisions while OPF2 is most likely a somewhat clone
277km2 for 225km2,not so much big,and besides that Arma2 will probably beat it in city sizes and number of towns so.(besides beat it on the rest of the game :p )
ARMA 2 should be the better game, and the more "hardcore" They are the original creators of Opflash after all, and seem less willing to consolise theyre game

I dont think CM has posted any specifics as per their requirements. The game runs on the EGO engine which powered GRiD. You have to take into account it is a wide open world with no loading and lots of post processing effects (shadows lighting etc.) so IMO it will take a fairly good rig to run it. 4GB Ram+ 2.66-3GHZ dual core, quad preferred. 9800GTX or ATI 4850 min, 4870 or GTX 260 recommended. Something like that. Of course you can run it with older hardware, just wont run that well.
I think a 8800GT could get the job done grpahic wise.. but this game will most likely depend on RAM (for the size and streaming) and CPU (for the AI paths and thinking) mostly.. well that is not a surprise as its a modern game haha
that all depends on the resolution you want to play at. If your gaming at 1280x1024 sure an 8800GT will do fine. If your going for 1680x1050 or whatever and higher, your gonna be lookin at a 200 series card or 4000 series card.

OPF2 is far better than BF2.. besides, the type of gaming isn't the same... OFP is a military simulator, BF2 is an FPS.. it's the kind of game where u are a simple private and u know how to drive everything, from tanks to helicopters...

Codemasters have stated there will be no patch and dedicated server code is not possible to develop post release.
Ask Codemasters yourself or visit one of the many 100+ page threads of complaints and refund requests.

Yes, but then all of us should go and by a game from the battlefield BC series.. Thet is relaxing.. Cod is just like cs with bether graphics. kill die kill die kill die.....!! in BF you actually have a chance surviving + you have a bether war and game feeling because of the tanks, helicopters and the enviroment is bigger and destructible :D

@ronnymp5 Every game is different and special. Ive played the BC2 and it was pretty good. MP was better of course than MW2 but SP was... well i wouldnt play it second time. Unlike MW2, ive played it over 5 times. (But well i guess thats matter of taste wich one you will like more BC2 or MW2). I'm not a fanboy nor BF's nor CoD's (Half-Life ftw! xD) but i still respect them both since they both have a "gold" in them. One has better SP other MP.

This game looks TOO real. I mean, some of those shots looked like I am acutally looking at the military channel or something. Can't wait till it comes out. It seems like a realistic version of GRAWF because it seems more tactical than your run n gun CODMW2. Of course, I am definitely buying that, as well.

Art "screenshots" and pre-rendered videos. Codemasters must have a mess on their hands if they're being so coy with real gameplay footage. They only showed a few minutes at E3 2009, a month after the game was supposed to be released.

All those shots are pre-rendered or touched up with some Photoshop magic. They're quite old too as Codemasters seem to be a little reluctant to show us actual ingame footage in great length, which usually means it's not as good as they hoped or promised lol.

1) Operation flashpoint 2 will feature China and USA while Arma II will feature Russia and USA (having Russia is much better)
2) The realism level will be much higher due to Arma having true makers of OPF 1, Bohemia, and not codemasters. We can also judge by the realistic/antimated videos Codemasters throws at the more younger audience.
3) The game is more focused on a military simulation and real-time tactical decisions while OPF2 is most likely a somewhat clone

I dont think CM has posted any specifics as per their requirements. The game runs on the EGO engine which powered GRiD. You have to take into account it is a wide open world with no loading and lots of post processing effects (shadows lighting etc.) so IMO it will take a fairly good rig to run it. 4GB Ram+ 2.66-3GHZ dual core, quad preferred. 9800GTX or ATI 4850 min, 4870 or GTX 260 recommended. Something like that. Of course you can run it with older hardware, just wont run that well.

I think a 8800GT could get the job done grpahic wise.. but this game will most likely depend on RAM (for the size and streaming) and CPU (for the AI paths and thinking) mostly.. well that is not a surprise as its a modern game haha

that all depends on the resolution you want to play at. If your gaming at 1280x1024 sure an 8800GT will do fine. If your going for 1680x1050 or whatever and higher, your gonna be lookin at a 200 series card or 4000 series card.

OPF2 is far better than BF2.. besides, the type of gaming isn't the same... OFP is a military simulator, BF2 is an FPS.. it's the kind of game where u are a simple private and u know how to drive everything, from tanks to helicopters...
