had seen news about it and ordered it in 09/2007 to get one at the beginning.

I believe they made a limited number, so hard to get a new one but don't know if the still make some.

i have a 614ce and a friend has the k24ce they both sound amazing the only thing i have found that sounds better is the 916ce Brazilian rosewood back and sides. but that is way out of my price range

Hello,

since this video I have worked a bit on the neck tension to give some relief to the neck and get a higher action.

Indeed I found it very low, which is good for some people and I believe one of the trademark of Taylor, to give a electric feel, but I like even on ly electrics to have a rather high action, to be able to bend easier and attack harder without buzz. It's a very personnal approach I guess. I'll try to post an update video soon (in better tune...). thanks for watching. Olivier.

That is great! I put thicker strings on my koa guitars since it "feels" like koa is strong enough and to give it more bass tone.. Koa is loud enough...anyways great guitar you got there!

No, she actually appears to have a PSGA with koa all-round. Also the cutaway is different (florentine, apparently).

I also thought it was this guitar (do want one), but I read on the Taylor Guitars website it was a PSGA (Presentation Series Grand Acoustic, it's custom).

I hate to say it but she doesn't do that guitar justice, although I love Taylor Swift quite a lot.

a tab is a way of reading guitar music.

with numbers and lines that represent the frets.

The fret, and the number is the fngerings

(numbering for fingerings)

so... if you only know tab, you generally:

1.) can't play with the rest of the music world. showing guitar tab to a cellist or a violinist isn't going to work

2.) you can't determine rythym without having to hear the song first

3.) you probably don't know the notes of the keys, scales, and chords

4.) poor fingering. tab doesn't tell you where to put your fingers.

because tab is more easy and quicker. most skilled guitarists play by tab. notes are mostly used by classic guitarists. yes youve got to know the piece ur playing, but isn't that exactly something for skilled guitarists, finding ur own way to play a piece?

Personally, I know both. I have never been a great sight reader, but I have known how to play piano most of my life. I found that with stringed instruments with chords, and intended jumping up and down scales like that of a guitar, tablature was invented for a good reason.

Piano, the notes are easy to find without a very in depth knowledge of the keyboard. Violins generally play only one note at a time, so they can follow standard notation while getting the benefits of it.

Really no problem. Wha have you bought ? I 've been looking some vintage ones but I'm getting afraid of fake ones... PRS are amazing guitars. Again you find some cheaper guitars that do the job very well, but when I compare my fender custom shop and my PRS, the gap is enormous and the PRS is by far a better player and looker, and after 3 to 5 years the PRS is still the same, but I start to have fret problems with the Fender... I always experimented on cheap guitars till i learnt what the differences are. I owned a les paul standard, which sounded awesome and had pretty fine playability... But i wanted a custom model and bought a gibson which was half les paul custom and half standard.... VERY sutisfied... I also like ibanez but its no comparison... Gibson i by far better. For acoustics i own a taylor 910 and a yamaha cpx 900... my other models are cheaper... If you are intrested in buying any consult me for advice...

Sadly, you're right. My dad offered to buy me a Martin when I was first starting out. I politely declined for this specific reason. "I'm not good enough, I don't deserve a good guitar." Now when I look back at it, I think, when exactly does one "deserve" a guitar? Tommy Emmanuel, arguably the best guitarist in the world plays one worth $2500. Andy McKee plays one worth over $11k. Random forum members own some in the middle or more. There is no point when you can say you deserve it.

Many other guitars will probably give you what you expect. It just depends on what you expect... this one is limited by the woods used. It may even be less "efficient" musically than a more traditional guitar using a spruce top.. btu I love this one, I love woods and I am amazed each time I take it.
