This car is cool. Not very practical if you have a family but if you're just single it would be enough. Even though i'm pretty sure people don't buy this car as a family vehicle lol.
mercedes used to make a good car pre chrysler. i had a 98' c class that was bullet proof and was a great car! mind you it was not the drivers car that bmw was and is but a nice little lux car though. mister wannabee is the first one to get it!
Wow love the harsh reply, I will use those comments on some unsuspecting fucktard sometime soon! Anyway, love my 128i with sport package and not much else. You're right - there is no other automobile that drives with the solidity and quality feel of the BMW. Mercedes are also very solid but not as sporty. Nissan/Infinity gives more power for the money but doors close like tin cans and engines are coarse at higher rpm. BMW rules, the rest can all drink my piss!! Yeah!!!
This is my fourth BMW and the ownership experience has been fucking phenomenal in every way. Not to mention that fucking nothing else drives like a BMW and I do not give a shit what anybody says. I have been a new car manager for years in all different kinds of dealerships and BMW's fucking rock out hard!!
Maybe if you had cursed me people would believe you. Oh well, I guess that doesn't matter since you don't give a **** what other people care. Classic.

I just bought this car...I will get to drive it when I get back to Germany after my deployment...and Im only 19 lol, i got it in that blue it shows with everything, I cant wait to get my hands on it!
BMWs are some of the most reliable cars on the road. The amount of German engineering perfection put into evey model ensures that they stay the some of the most reliable cars on the road.

BMW certainly has lost the reputation once had back in the 80s. It was common for the old E30's to make it to 300k miles or beyond. Not many Beemers today can say the same thing. I'd only take a BMW today if I knew in 5-7 years I'd be trading it in.
I think BMWs reputation has evolved from an expensive car for yuppies in the 80s to a serious german sport machine for enthusiasts who can afford to get into the car for today. Keeping a BMW for 5+ years is 100% do-able. The only reason I see for selling an older model is to buy a newer one.
:P*** is all i can say. Rear styling for the 1 is iffy; but drop that 3.0L I6 biturbo and you have a monster. I plan to test drive it spring 08- CAN'T waiT! :)
question: how much space is there in the back and the only difference between the 128 and 135 is the engine am i correct?

@diamonoidx The 135i also has 6 Piston Brembo brakes, different body style, and a 7spd DCT if you option it.

not sure about a 128i convertible...BMW seem to deny it's existance in the UK. the 125i (3.0 - 6 cylinder) convertible hits 62 mph in 6.8s.
