in Italy we use the same starting system, you could use it at the world championship?

We use this hand starting grid method for all National and World Championships so far, haven't found a better method yet, just need someone reliable and skilled to set them off without incidents.

I meant does someone catch the bike once the engine stops or is the general practice to just let it fall over?

You can get it down pit lane no problem or just pull off the track to a quiet place then just let it fall to the side, no worries.

How do you stop these?

The electrics you just switch off, the nitro you stall on the flywheel or block the exhaust, simple.

If you mean a new one, there aren't many race worthy bikes about as a rolling chassis for that much, and very few ready to race second hand for tha tmoney either, sorry.
