This Clip is one of The Greatest Tragedies ever played out in American History...The lose of mind and the lose of a Mother's & Father's life work.. how we all sell it so short...It's hard to build a family these dayz
@CovenantOfLove-- Dysfunction in family is the RULE, not the exception. Most of the disfunction is not officially recognized, because it would include MOST families. Many do not want to admit or even KNOW that they are from an imperfect family. We are humans, therefore there is not a whole lot that most of us do that is truly righteous. We must not blame ourselves for ANY of this mess we call society, we were born into this corrupt mess and it has been calld normal for generations.
One of my favourite movies ever. Top 3 for sure. Hey, wasn't this song also in the movie 'Flashback'? I remember a similar scene in there. Doesn't compete with this obviously.
I adore this movie, all of it - a quiet, easy going Bronson, smiling at the kid, quietly making a phone call - proving what a good actor can do when properly directed/ Virgo - a force of nature / David Morse, as always, superb, the perfect ending
I did first aid for this movie. I worked for omaha ambulance and we went to do the scene where the indian crosses the road outside omaha. The indian fell and injured his ankle. Sean Penn was pissed. We bandaged his ankle and made it match the indians skin color. One of the stunt men had a heart attack and one of the cars in the scenes batteries arched and injured the mechanics eyes all this in one night. We did eat prime rib later around 3am in gretna, ne
i cant contain myself when i watch it, its just so incredibly beautiful. its shocking to me this one went under the radar all these years.
coincidently, springsteen is my favorite artist, and this film IS springsteen in everyway. PENN IS A GENIUSand the most authentic, soulful, real directors out there..
i know..i have seen yesterday night just that scene!!! but then i fall slept like a dead person!!please... if you see him tell me..bye bye from italy.. i love benicio
frankie is my cousin, we grew up in the same house as brothers... the movie is totally me and my cousin, i equally hurt to watch it and feel closer to him when i do. fantastic film and fantastic compliation...
the film is incredible. mortensen and morse are very good (morse is in every of is roles great!). it´s sad that the morse film "george b." not on youtube...
Thank you so much for posting this clip. This is one of the, if not the, most powerful and beautiful segments of film I've ever seen. The pathos of the individual characters tied together with this haunting song of regret of things missed and love/hope lost strikes me to the bone. Ahh, I wish I could put into words the feelings this pulls from me. I won't even attempt an postmortem other than to say, man, I can relate to this segment with my whole heart. Ahh, I feel it.
Oh, yes. I had forgotten about this song until I saw this very great movies years ago. Watching just this sequence from the film, it is incredible the way the whole movie is captured. So, sad and beautiful.
yo..thanks for posting this! This is one of my favorite parts in the whole movie. I actually search on youtube for this scene from time to time. I love how it goes to the music and Charles Bronson's scene is very touching. I added it to my favorites. Underrated movie and the best flick Penn directed.
According to me, the most beautiful scene in the history of cinema. And one of the most beautiful movies...

it's hard on this earth, when your wild spirit, calls out to that which is unseen, just hoping. Just a moment in time.
