I did first aid for this movie. I worked for omaha ambulance and we went to do the scene where the indian crosses the road outside omaha. The indian fell and injured his ankle. Sean Penn was pissed. We bandaged his ankle and made it match the indians skin color. One of the stunt men had a heart attack and one of the cars in the scenes batteries arched and injured the mechanics eyes all this in one night. We did eat prime rib later around 3am in gretna, ne

Thank you so much for posting this clip. This is one of the, if not the, most powerful and beautiful segments of film I've ever seen. The pathos of the individual characters tied together with this haunting song of regret of things missed and love/hope lost strikes me to the bone. Ahh, I wish I could put into words the feelings this pulls from me. I won't even attempt an postmortem other than to say, man, I can relate to this segment with my whole heart. Ahh, I feel it.

I love how it goes to the music and Charles Bronson's scene is very touching. I added it to my favorites. Underrated movie and the best flick Penn directed.
