  • this is sorta a rip off of THE ANGRY VIDEO GAME NERD

  • @8Zeitgeist Yes, because everyone that covers retro games is a rip off right. That is like comparing castlevania to mario, sure in both games you jump and you kill stuff that makes them the same right. AVGN has his own thing, notice that he has live action sequences and his own brand of curses. That is his thing, we are just trying to play and game and give impressions on said game. Every reviewer on youtube will be similar if that is the light that you wish to view it from. - Ray

  • mario 2 is actually doki doki panic

    weird shit

and technically smb 2 was released before smb3 in japan so we got our order off

  • this is a commentary, not much reviewing

  • Yeah, after we named the series we realized what the format would become. It just kinda stuck and we went from there.

  • There is a warp zone to 2 and 4 in world 1

  • i have this game but in 16 bit on the snes it came in super mario all stars with super mario world

  • guys! u talk and not much review

  • this is my 2nd fav. game of all time...1st being Metroid

  • there is a warp pipe actually its really trick to get it once you get over the pipe

  • this game is one of the few HARD games that are sadistic and frustrating, yet fun to play!

  • there is a warp zone there

  • yeh but they trick you in making you pass a few obstacles once you come OUT of a pipe BEFORE you pop into another world!

  • SMB 2 (Non Doki Doki Panic) was also released on the gbc in Super Mario Bros Deluxe. Alas, but no continue to the best of my knowledge. Gotta love the game though, but the red bloopers make no sense...

  • 18 Bowsers?!

  • wow you have it

  • Have you guys ever made it to World 9?

  • Ahhh yes, the final castle is brutal.

  • Alway...ALWAYS! play as Luigi. Later!

  • Luigi Rules! He needs more recognition. I mean, does it help that Nintendo sort of portrays him as a loser? Why do they have to make him a slight (only slight) loser so the light can shine on mario? I thought they were brothers! After playing Super Mario Galaxy though, I don't know. Such a difference.

  • Nintendo NEVER did such a thing! In fact they were building him up into someone with better skills than Mario in games like Super Smash Bros (ALL N64, Melee and Brawl), whilst being someone slightly cooler!

  • So what if he has skills? He doddles around like an idiot! In Super Mario Galaxy, he's a coward, and in Brawl, he gets beat down in a pathetic way, and is a trophy for 3/4 of the fricking game. So don't tell me Nintendo never did downplay Luigi. They are guilty as charged.

  • well I'm sorry you feel that way, but Nintendo has its reasons! The Mario Brothers are different in many ways, and besides both having a moustache and a hat representing their first names, there is no denial that these characters' unique abilities and personalities are what makes them real inspiring Nintendo mascots!

  • They are different characters, and they have different abilities, but can you actually deny that Nintendo plays down Luigi, making him look like an idiot, just to make Mario look better?

Luigi doesn't inspire me, he makes me want to cry. Hard to believe he came from the same bloodline as Mario when he can barely walk without stumbling.

  • well at least it makes you understand that as brothers you can maybe LOOK the same, but one can behave differently to the other! It's exactly like twins: same look and genes, but DIFFERENT EMOTIONS AND BEHAVIOUR!

  • Have you even seen the Subspace Emissary, or Luigi in Super Mario Galaxy? The only difference between them is that one is a hero, and one is an idiot. And it's Nintendo's Fault. Brothers are different, I'll give you that, but they are at least a little similar, even to the smallest degree. I'm a Luigi fan, and I'm protesting that Nintendo put things back to the old days, where Luigi was just as good as Mario, not a second-rate comedy relief. Nintendo already has enough of those....

  • The point is, I COULD have this argument with you all day, but I'm not going to. Irrelevance, anyone? I must admit, you do like to argue here, but I'm gonna have to be done.

  • YES I have seen the Subspace Emissary Adventure Mode, and yes he does seem like a goofy scardycat, but this isn't as important as you THINK it is! Do you love playing as Luigi? Do you like his moves? Do you enjoy the fact that he is STILL as good as Mario in many ways?

  • I've said it before, I'll say it again. I'm done with this argument. You have a point, Luigi has some positive aspects, and I have a point, Luigi is still played down. I think we can leave it at that.

  • ok then agreed!

  • 1st comment i have this game on gameboy and snes

  • mario bros. deluxe

  • @NewGenGamers you do not do this propely
