  • in his genes? pfftt take that you useless doctor

  • Good job!

  • Outstanding. I am going on to month 2 of Insanity and Month 1 of P90X. I am going to get shredded and be fit before joining the Marines!

  • @REDSCOUT3

Yo I'm currently on the P90x and i suggest you do the whole p90x to get top results and probably the same with insanity (I havent done insanity)

i'm on my 3rd month of p90x (last phase) and so far i've lost just over 50lbs and got some muscles developing.

if you were to only do 1 month of p90x it might not have a good outcome.

  • @Fat2FitPhil well mate, I just started last week. Say which one are you doing: The clasic, Doubles, Or Lean for the 3 months?

  • @NakedSteve4u I think biggest win is the body transformation. I think.

  • @NakedSteve4u that's 1000 more dollars than you

  • Very inspirational. I have to show my brothers it can be done.

  • @amy0785 definitely can, my transformation helped darrick if his helps someone else it was all worth it.

    it was 440 lbs!

  • @psyckojoe 20% is healthy body fat. 11% is almost athletic

  • @psyckojoe agree. it has to be more than 30%.

  • @psyckojoe it said he LOST 33% body fat, not that he was lolz

  • world of warcraft strikes again... I feel ya bro, it got me too.

  • I would love to see his results now; if he has continued with the program and lost even more.

  • Good job Darrick! Keep it up!

  • THE 20 DISLIKES ARE SIMPLY IGNORANT ! SO IGNORE THEM! GREAT JOB AND KEEP IT UP!

  • thumbs up! keep on going, you've done great!

  • Hahaha at djblowpop's comment. @rockster8601 what r u on about, clearly u do not have a clue. Fat does not mirraculously turn into muscle, u build up ur muscle fibre as u burn away fat.

  • whoa whoa.. Kenpo X.!!! hahaha

  • YOU ARE AN INSPIRATION TO ME!!

  • It takes time and hardwork. Keep it up.

  • You shouldn't of did p90x like u had to much fat and even tho being a little chunky is the best way to start p90x because fat turns into muscle you made a bad decision you should of got a treadmill or other cardio equipment

  • @rockster8601 u r a moron. Fat does NOT turn into muscle. Fat is fat, muscle is muscle.

  • @rockster8601 "... because fat turns into muscle..." REALLY?! How ignorant are you? Fat DOES NOT magically turn into muscle.

  • Derrick is a hunter.

  • OMG... Makes you wonder why there isn't a p9000x !!!!

  • He may have lost some weight but overall he looks the same.....get back on that treadmill!

  • great job man, i am currently 360lbs, used to be incredibly active, though still large. but i hurt my ankle and it never healed correctly and so i gained all the weight i lost. but now my and a friend are gonna be hitting up that insanity gonna go hard, thanks for showing this video definitely an encouragement.

  • I think when he says his family and friend dont recognize him meaning how weight he lost compared to his last size dumbasses...stop hating on him. He my motivation to do it

  • Resist we much

  • sigus gordo

  • ur still fat

  • What happen after week 13? star over from week1 ???

  • Truth be told, you dont need to follow a nutrition diet at all ... why ??? ... it was friday night drunk with my friends and I made a bet ill make better abs then him ... I was 111 kg's doing nothing ...i spent 3 months punching in a bag which got me to 79 kg's and then did ab ripper X everyday for a month ... and I drank and smoke cigarettes and ate junk food and i still got the results that I wanted :)))

  • @AstralForeseer yeah ofc thats true but if u wanna be professional or ripped like fuck then yes diet is literally everything

  • Why are so many people hating on this guy? Well done to him he's changing his life and doing more than you dicks sitting on your asses bitching about him.

  • @koukouroukou7484..... you got a point. =)

  • @xsimplelifex1 Thanks! :)

  • gd job, but this wont do shit for ur social life because when u were mega fat u were an ugly mothafaka, and when u became super fat u stayed an ugly mothafaka!!!!

  • HEY! its zero from holes :D dang, he got fat.

  • "friends and family almost dont recognize him"... how could you miss that hair.

  • Voyage lol so true hehehe

  • I don't know how he can say his family and friends don't recognize him, he still has those ugly-ass Afro dreads on his head. :P

  • can i add u on ps3

  • he lost the equivalent of my entire body weight

  • Darrick seems to demonstrate something that the 95% (admiq1's unfounded claim) don't which is lifestyle change in a permanent fashion. Those 95% (again questionable) are usually setting goals like "X lbs" of weight loss and seek a 90 day or restricted calorie or pill/short term solution. I think Darrick approached it as "the next 90 days" and not the entire fix. Learning what to eat, how to eat and how to enjoy an active lifestyle should be the goal. Health improvements that come with are bonus.

  • lol world of warcraft just lost 5 reputation points.

  • still has bitch tits

  • @0neofthem well if he was your weight he would have 6 pack and be riped be now u dum fuck look how much weight he lost tbh mate this was year ago he might be smaller now so stfu about still has bitch tits i bet u have them 2

  • What your doctor said was true. Genes has something to do with obesity. If you stop that exercise routine and your diet, you'll get fat again. Some people even without workout or diet, they stay slim and these things are being affected by your genes.

  • in the 5year time spam, 95% of people who lost waight regain most of it back, sad true.

  • Good job bro!

  • Good now take that $1,000 and get a tummy tuck

  • @42stackz fuck off

  • so sad that a Dr. would tell you that crap...so glad you didn't listen...sometime when people make you mad, it gives you that incentive to do more....good for you....so happy for you....

  • Obesity is diet and lifestyle problem not genes. You have to workout 3 times a week for maintenance and more if you’re trying to lose weight. Secondly, carbohydrates in the diet make you fat. Americans eat way too many carbs. Cut the carbs and the weight will fall off. Insulin is produce in larger quantities to help level off blood sugar (carbs), but the side effect is the hormone increase fat production and storage. High blood sugar (carbs), increase insulin is the problem not genes.

  • He deserves at least a million. He is doing excellent!

  • congratulations man . keep it up

  • i'll give everyone the solution right here for free.the best excersises for losing fat are jogging and swimming and having proper nutrition. period. these guys play it well and... they all want your money. why am i not famous for this? because my method takes a lot of time and dedication. something people lack in.

  • Really proud of Derrik. But if he lost 33% body fat, how much did he have?? Not being negative just wondering, good job :D

  • I am proud of you man .Instead of listening to that ass of a doctor with his "it's in your genes" line ,you started to make yourself healtier and with a booming result .Just keep it up and eat healthy ,your good!

Say to the doctor "i gave my genes the finger"!

  • dude congrats bro

  • and still fat...

  • @DMCisMe1 what a loser since your watching this video i hence your out of shape lmao

  • Now you can buy some better gear for your hunter ;p

  • "Way to go darrick"

  • Those some big ass titties!!

  • @h2dude69 he has gynecomastia thats why thry are still there

  • @mada1241 it's loose skin

  • so by staying committed to p90x he looks slightly less morbidly obese and more like a depressed angry black women

  • How come ur tits are still the same size?

  • @h2dude69 cuz its a girl lol

  • @lisenyoudontknowme

    That's one ugly female!!

  • @h2dude69 stop making fun of queen latifah

  • @lisenyoudontknowme

We're not making fun....But she shud've worn a bra...We know that p90x doesn't affect the size of ur titties

  • Oh yeh, Force Unleashed rocks!

  • This is cool. Just gotta lose a little more on the boobs and obliques and you will be awesome!!!!!

  • Great job, sexy i wish my husband would do it.

  • did u really lost all those fats in just 90 days???

  • @bitchkillerguy He weigh 440lbs, its easy to lose weight when your that fat. You could lose up to 40-50 pounds every 50 days. But it would take longer if someones only 30pounds overweight. Waaaaaaay longer.

  • All of the bad stories out there in the news today. It is GREAT to see a success story. Good for you man!!! Keep it up!!!

  • Nice job btw.

  • Everyone is talking about a predisposition to obesity, no one mentions that you can effect your own metabolism by your calorie intake. Ppl are more responsible for the way they look as adults then their genes are.

  • alright you people that already go to the gym all say "well hey. the gym will give you better results. screw you people. i like p90x because lets face it. for some reason fat people develop a phobia of working out in front of other people. so 90 days at home is going to provide way better results for fat people like me rather than 90 days at the gym because half of you concentration is lost on wondering if everyone is staring at you because your fat. p90 x is amazing because it eliminates that.

  • Holy shit, he has my body type.

  • @BJ219 Which type is that?

  • @ctommonufc The way his stomach fat is positioned, his chest fat which comes more to the sides than to the front...I started out this March at 435 lbs, but I'm down to 340 now. I'll hit 100 lbs lost around the six month mark of when I started. To celebrate 100 lbs lost I'm going to do the 60 day Insanity program. Wish me luck :)

  • @BJ219 I'm referring to his "before" picture at 2:38, btw

  • @BJ219 Nice one mate, well done!

  • 1000 dollars? is that a joke?????

  • 90 days in the gym would even give you better results...

  • @fsfsto Depends on the person really. It's not better or worse than going to the gym. It's an alternative for people who don't go to the gym and have a personal trainer. Think of it as online classes. You have to have more commitment, but you don't have to worry about how stupid you look either (being put on spot in class)

  • Nice!

  • Nice job Darrick! I hope you're still bringing it today.

  • thumbs up for WoW

  • @MarquisGillette Get fat! you lil prick. then lose it like jarrod from subway. then get muscular! then get money! then become a trainer! getting paid $150 per hour to lie to a fat fuck!

  • Why is this not flagged for porn?

  • @JefteLopezNY HEY! He did a great job. I just feel absolutely horrible for reading your comment. I just lost it... I couldn't stop laughing.

  • Dude now he'll just buy his body with the 1mil!

  • Congratulations Dewet.

  • Comgrats dude, but please, comb yo fuckin hair next time.

  • lmao, all his doctor said was hbp, cancer etc, he never said OBESITY was in his genees...excuses,excuses

  • Wait.. he won $1,000 in the MILLION- Dollar Body Contest????

  • @CameronRHilley 1 million only if you come with a sixpack around the corner...

  • @CameronRHilley :)) you made me LOL...props girl

  • @CameronRHilley

Maybe they give $1000 to a thousand people.

  • Just started P90x on Thursday. Found out that my Yoga X and Stretch X DVDs do not work. I subbed Kenpo X for the Yoga X but don't know what I should in 2 days when it's Kenpo X time? Do you think I should use the Cardio X until I can get back in possession of a working copy for the Yoga X?

  • @seanakatrue Im sure the police will send you a message and arrest you for copyright infrigment.....get a job

  • Comment removed

  • @seanakatrue common sense says that. You are trying to sell someone else's product for your own personal financial gain and obviously without their consent or else the price would be closer to $200. Thank you I do have a life, but , I hate when people try to scam and use different methods to make money off of some one else's hard work. Just be legitimate and work more hours at your job to make extra money.

  • That was posted over a year ago - what does he look like now?

  • World of warcraft^^ Dalaran;D t.9 items hunter;D

  • great now you get hair cut

  • Great job bro!

  • Mine cost 60 bucks on craigslist from some rich ppl

  • Man i wish i had money. p90x is freakin expensive! Ima go steal a car or somethin

  • I don't even weight 161 lbs... he lost more weight then the weight I got...

  • Obesity isn't in your genes. That's a well propogated lie. It just takes commitment to diet and exercise, which is made quite obvious if you've watched this video.

  • @RagingKrab obesity is not in your genes true, but proneness to obesity IS. Some people are much more prone to gaining weight, and some people can lose weight faster and slower depending on genetics. So the proneness to obesity IS in your genes, but no. Your genes do not determine you will be obese (in some rare cases it does with certain defects).

  • @RagingKrab I'm as anti-fat as they come, but obesity really is sometimes genetically linked. There are people who are predisposed to have slower metabolism, in fact this is actually a favorable trait in some ways because it allows for prolonged survival without food. We're not in the stone age anymore so the 'fat' gene isn't helpful anymore since food is readily accessible. But there is a definite genetic component to obesity in many cases.

  • @RagingKrab how do you explain people suddenly gaining lots of weight over a short period of time without changing their diet or exercise

  • @RagingKrab everyones genes are different. some people are born with radical metabolic rates whilst others are born with very slow metabolic rates. its harder for someone with slow metabolism to lose weight. which is why you see those kids who eat mcdonalds and pizza every day with their friends have fat friends and skinny friends. they were eating the same thing but they have different genes. but i agree no one is born obese

  • @RagingKrab Diet and exercise does work for everyone, however your genes can affect the effectiveness, thus making it more difficult for some people to lose weight :)

  • @RagingKrab uh, your wrong. do you research next time. The KLF14 gene, linked to type 2 diabetes and cholesterol, is a "master regulator" of fat in the body

  • Dude, you inspire people like me, seriously. Your doing great, don't give up.

  • LOL and i thought i was the only one that used my PS3 to watch p90x on

  • @i0nPuNk182 I do that to :D

  • @WISEGUY 5/11-180 pounds is a good weight for that Hight especially if it's lean muscle
