@smvuy - The thermal system runs between 450 and 600 degrees F. depending what material I am running. The tumbler doesn't need to be heated because I'm using diesel #2 for the liquid.
@Ls3guy - The best part about the tumbler it that you can put one or several parts in at a time - AND you don't have to clean them yourself - it's my best unpaid employee in the shop!
this thing just tumbles all the parts in a bath of diesel, that's all? you keep those random parts to do the cleaning like pellets do or that was your full batch of parts needed to be cleaned?
how hot is inside the thermal cleaning machine? does that tumbler also heats up?

You could fill one of these with balls and polish aluminium parts with it!

John: Would you consider placing small bits of media (BBs perhaps) in the "eggs" to aide in tumbling of those smaller parts?
ladams00 1 year ago
@ladams00 - Probably not, you need media with somewhat sharp edges to clean the parts, round balls can't do that.

@zapwatt You really dont need plans. You get the idea here. Just go out and do it with stuff you have.
