Jetblue , Because they are low budget and they fly to where i live, St maarten. The service is great. If you have lots of money, i recomend Virgin America. If you want to fly low budget, fly Jetblue. (NEVER EVER SPIRIT AIRLINES!)

I researched both airlines, and Virgin America seems like it has a better interior, but Virgin America only travels a couple routes. Jetblue does a lot more routes, and also all Virgin America has are the A320 and A319, which like pretty much everyone else i don't like Airbus, but Jetblue has an A320 and an Embraer 190. They don't have Boeings, but they have Embraer which is a good brand. And since Jetblue does a lot more routes, I'd say I like Jetblue better.

Virgin America. Cause The Virgin Group is the best airline group in the world. But Both offer Great Service. Most of You are saying about the delays VX have, well take into consideration VX has 1/4th the amount of planes as Jetblue. Virgin Americas Planes are newer, they have different engines, and the staff are better. Virgin Blue is better than JetBlue and Southwest. Virgin Blue was voted no. 1 for airline excellence with service, comfort, staff and in flight entertainment. Qantas came 3rd.

Flown both of them from JFK to LAX/LGB. I love both of them. Yes VA is a bit "hipper" than JB, but JB was and still is the airline that bought respect back to flying VA has managed to take it to another level. Bottom line for me: which ever of the two has the lowest fare at the moment is how I will choose.

But I will say this: I'd pay up to $100.00 more to fly either of them, then to spend my money on the legacy airlines (DL, AA, UA, CO) all just abyssmal.

I have been flying JetBlue since I got tired of the cattle call at South West. I have not flown Virgin yet, but I can say that JetBlue's crews are awesome. It would take a lot to lure me away from Blue. More than a cloth napkin.

Middayproductions- When I flew virgin my t.v didnt work and the flight was completley full so they couldn;t move me to another seat and no voucher for me.(it was a 7 hour flight from Boston to San Francisco) But on the way home everything went perfectly so i would give them another chance. I never had any problems with jetblue though.

JetBlue is far better, more established airline than Virgin America. Way more destinations overall but on the east coast JetBlue rules the sky. Virgin has a nice product - but it will never catch JetBlue! Oh and by the way there is really no such thing as a low cost airline- its just a relative term and safety is paramount at both JetBlue and Virgin who have far better safety records than any of the legacy carriers.

Continental hasnt had a fatality since 1987!! nd besides that crash on takeoff in Denver which everyone survived they havnt had an accident since 1987. the airline was founded in the 1930s!! whereas jetblue started around the year 2000 and virgin america in 2004 so you cant compare accidents with the 3..Continental is a GREAT AIRLINE nd one of the safest out there if you want to bring up saftey records. Virgin America will never make it out of the west coast. Sure their planes look cool, but check out their fares. jetBlue just keeps on growing and has become a nightmare for other airlines. It will probably take them another eight years to study the concepts of T5 at JFK and try to improve on it.

Keep in mind that Virgin America had some eight years to study the concepts of Jet Blue and others and then improve upon them. Once the industry sparks again, I could easily see Jet Blue applying a lot of what Virgin America has done. Perhaps this could be in the form of some blue mood lighting throughout their fleet. Who knows what will be going on years down the road.

Virgin looks great and it definitely has a higher cache than JetBlue, but JB shouldn't be placed down. They are a great airline regardless of the lack of glitz and glamour. I've never once met a truly a discourteous JB employee and I think that says a lot about the company as a whole. I'll soon be flying from LAX to JFK. Lets see if my opinions change.
