  • So technically, wouldn't Wukong be the strongest martial arts fighter ever then??

  • @ginasurin Wukong is the strongest fighter among the gods excepts for Buddhas n Goddess of Mercy

  • back when Chinese series were awesome with great autonomy from the state. After 1989, China began a heavy censorship and laid regulations and not many great drama came out after that. Sad

  • how in the world is journey to the west related to kiddie cartoons like naruto and dragonball??!!

  • @damvinhhung97 well enma the third hokage's contract summon is based off sun wukong and goku himself is based off sun wukong

  • I'm reading this book now :)

  • @d0nkeytr0n Which version?

  • @Silverice92 - the 4 volume English language version, published by Foreign Languages Press, Beijing (I'm English and can't read Chinese)

  • @d0nkeytr0n Oh okay. Thats awesome. I probably check it out too. I read the chinese version and read both the ancient text and modern text. Ancient text one was confusing especially a Chinese American like me. hahaha.

  • "I shall be happy enough if you keep me out of any disasters you cause"

    LOL

  • Kids or for that matter misinformed/uneducated people assume Journey to the West is a rip of anime such as Naruto or Dragonball. Just goes to show how uncultured people are. The Japanese LOVE Romance of the Three Kingdoms and Journey to the West, amongst the score of other Chinese novels/mythologies, and have ripped off and used them as influence for many of their anime. I guess the best compliment is when someone copies you right? ^_^ Naruto and DBZ have nothing on Monkey King.

  • @yankeeskuang This story was around long before Dragon ball or Naruto. I don't really like Dragon ball that much anyway. It scared me as a kid.
