hello y'all. could you please tell me how long to cook the chicken in the crock-pot? on high i think you said. i have a 7-qt. crock-pot. i need to buy a smaller one like yours. i make chicken salad w/ celery salt, blk pepper & mayo. i add other things when i have them...like sliced almonds, or pecans, grapes. my sister in-law adds a oz. or 2 of cream cheese, as well a little minced onion. i love chicken salad on a crescent roll. ok enough of that. lol. great tips for the crock-pot chicken. :)
brats are good but polish keilbasa is better! i noticed you mention you live in the nw in a prior video. i live in portland and love it here. lived in seattle for a few years and liked it there too! pacific nw is great.
What a lovely couple, I just love to watch you two interact.
But, anyway..Thank you for this. I am always making something that calls for chicken and I usually buy 3 or 4 packs of skinless chicken breast every two weeks. This will really cut back on that.
So glad you found a way to stretch the budget... we will have many more recipes up very soon. Pho (VN soup), southern pork chops, Tennessee Buttermilk pie, chocolate pie from scratch, breakfast sandwiches, and more.
Hi-I just came across your cooking videos. I love the chicken in the slow cooker-I usually add water then save the broth and boil noodles in in for casserole or chicken and noodles. Unfortunately my family are not big soup eaters but I am. Sometimes we just eat the chicken plain out of the cooker-it is so tender and juicy. And you are right-dark meat has more flavor. I don't like the icky stuff Ron does, either, I laughed at that! I was born in raised in IN (raised on a farm) we grew and ate our
own veggies and meat (cow tongue-gross!). Lower cost of living here-chicken is really cheap. I can't leave the icky stuff in also because I have a little one who could choke. You remind me of my husband's aunt-you look like her and have the same mannerisms and loves to talk and is a really sweet lady. My sister lost her husband in the same way Mike died 6 yrs. ago-he was 34 w/2 young sons. It killed him instantly. I love the LPBW show and cried when they showed the episodes about Mike.
I lost my mom when I was 9 (Lou Gehrig's disease) one thing I always remember is that she made these great hot creamed chicken sandwiches. I wish I knew how she did it!
I also do the compost-in the summer only though-too cold and sometimes snow too deep to get to the pile!
That sounds so yummy.. my mom used to make them too.. humm guess I need to make that again sometime.
It's wonderful to have fond memories of your mother.. I'm sorry you lost her when you were so young. God bless you as you progress through life.. stay close to Him.
We had a farm for 13 years and ate tons of lamb, pork and eggs by the dozen. It was a fun experience for these city slickers.
How sad for your sister to have her husband die so suddenly. It is devastating when one passes so unexpectantly. sure does bring us to realize how short life is and what we do for others will last. God bless you.
I got such a giggle when yuou said you didn't like the icky stuff either!! I've always added water to my chicken but thought I'd try this way.. it made a lovely thick base for soup and the flavor stayed in the chicken. It was just something I thought I'd try.
We've made chicken enchiladas by rolling up a tortilla with strips if the defosted chicken. Another recipe is to chop up the chicken and mix with a white sauce or cream of chicken soup and poor over rice or biscuits. Another is to defrost and put in a salad with a special dressing and enjoy. Cutting it up with mayo and mustard for a spread like tuna for a sandwich is delicious.
It doesn't take long to defrost so i take a baggie out as i begin to fix whatever i'm going to put it in..
Wow that was a fast reply.Yes I have tried the Chicken enchilada casserole already and it was very good.I have tried all but one of your recipes .I love to try new stuff. Thanks again
