I am a big fan of Kate's. This is a very thoughtful remake of the France Gall classic. I prefer the original, only because it is France, but Kate does a nice job here. The dance version is quite nice....Too bad it was not a massive hit like her other songs. I hope Kate starts to do more original material and less remakes. Hallo Geertjen73, zonder zielig te willen doen, ik denk niet dat Kate ondanks haar nog jonge leeftijd geen "doorleefheid" kent. Deze versie geeft wat mij betreft goed weer wat er in de tekst staat. En in deze tijden van R&B en Dance (ook leuk van Kate) een rustig nummer op de markt zetten, laat een gepaste eigenwijsheid zien. Of het verkoopt weet ik niet, maar ik vind het prachtig.

Theo, 't is wel een beetje gemakkelijk om het repertoire van France Gall te blijven recycleren. 'Evidemment' is een schitterend nummer van Michel Berger en is een soms wat vergeten klassieker uit het Frans chanson van de jaren '80 en je moet dus aardig je best doen om het te verprutsen. Ik zeg niet dat het verprutst is, 't is gewoon te glad. Met 'Desenchantée' indertijd had ik dat gevoel niet.

Ja, is misschien wel. Gelukkig is Kate wel de eerste die toegeeft dat ze veel muziek hergebruikt. (vorig jaar uitgebreid in een Vlaamse krant gelezen). Op het Q-music Beach concert deze zomer, wat ongeveer een accoustiche set was, laat ze zien dat ze echt een goede zangeres is, ook voor het rustige lied (ik zat in het publiek). Aan reportoire komen lijkt me dus het grootste probleem.

In dit liedje hoor je duidelijk dat Kate een heel goede zangeres is met veel lef, je moet het maar doen een Franse ballad zingen in tijden dat dit genre helemaal niet meer in is bij de mensen.
