Okay, so everybody knows that Dracula X/Rondo of Blood are very different on the PC Engine versus the SNES. Can anyone tell me if the Japanese Super Famicom version and the U.S. Super Nintendo version have any differences other than graphical censorship?

This game was just way ahead of its time. I mean just look at the attention to detail presented in the first 3 boss fights: They showcase many small details that are well executed into one nice long epic collective. And the results are quite fuckin' badass.

I'm just so glad I have this and its respective remake for the PSP.

This game is so damn hard compared to any other Castlevania, but Igarashi says he likes this better than symphony, it did set a few bars for the series, first one on cd, the music was mp3. The only thing that i personally hated was the drawback of not being able to protect yourself with the vampire killer like in part IV.

Yep, was. It's now available on Wii VC in EU and US regions. Oh and it got re-released on PSP outside Japan a few years ago as well. :)

I forgot you can also get the magic engine emulator or hugo emulator and the ISO of the game. There are plenty of tutorials on how to use it. That is the way he played it here. I just think the standalone is easier. You just install it like any other windows game. It works on vista too. Dont know about windows seven.  I play it on vista. Really awesome game. This is the prequel to Castlevania: SOTN

If anybody wants this game go to google and type in Rondo of Blood win32 v1.11. It is a standalone version for windows, or you can get it on the wii using the homebrew hack. Just look up the youtube vid The ultimate wii homebrew setup and through that you can get it through wad or VC. IMO the standalone is better. I use my ps3 controller with it. If you want to do it the legal way you can shell out big money for a turbografix 16 engine and the game. This and SC4 are the best prior to sotn

and you have a remake of ROB and you can unlock the original ROB and SOTN too :D

Heh - looking at a few comments addressing whether CastleVania games are set in Transylvania or Germany (I agree with the former), I can't help but think of how Richter's name doesn't exactly make the most sense - I mean, 'Richter' would be German, if I'm not mistaken, and 'Belmont' is a French name. That would be because the Wii version is a re-release of the Super Nintendo game, which didn't have a CD drive. All of the speech from the cutscenes is straight CD audio, as is most of the music.
