  • pretty good!!!

  • I didn't know he used true temperament frets

  • @conorthealien Look on Caparison's website. They off the Applehorn in a taxi cab yellow colour not unlike that found on Parkers. It comes standard and True Temperament. They also make a fixed bridge jazz model with a layered mahogany/walnut body, and I've heard many a great thing about it.

  • @conorthealien Now you know.

  • Fuck Vai

  • thats was pretty fuckin good for a dude who loves metal...and sole his soul for those guitar skills. what a mind to think of covering this and the guts to let it out for youtube

  • @CommBreakDown Why would anyone who loves metal be worse than anyone else at playing for example La Bamba? Also, mr Eklundh doesn't just love metal, for example he covers Django's "Minor swing" on one of his albums :) Also he's got quite the sense of humor; there's a video of him playing with a dildo somewhere here on youtube so I don't think he thought twice about posting this vid :P

  • @SuperGukke He's playing Chopstick Boogie with a... Bull "muscle" in a video. Just to further confirm your point that he's quite the unique individual. :)

  • Is it truth that Joe satriani and steve vai were taught by this guy?

  • @js100serch i guess thats not true, cause steve vai started playing with frank zappa in the late 70's when Eklundh was about 10 years old.

  • @linxmoi It actually true, Eklundh taught Vai a tapping or pull on/off technique!

  • @js100serch actually they were raised by this man. his guitar skills make him look 30 years younger.

  • @js100serch lol nah xD

  • @js100serch No, but it is true that Steve Vai and Kirk Hammet were taught by Joe Satriani.

  • @AdamHaga so was alex skolnick of testament

  • hey @25zeppelins where the FUCK do you see a wah?

is all harmonics and whammy bar my friend

  • @quilmesredlager he doesn't mean a whammy pedal, i think every intelligent guitar player knows about his whammybar+harmonics thing by now, but there he DOES use a wah, for the, you know, traditional wah sound everyone makes.

    anyhow, mattias is god.

  • @skezness

oh my fault, i thaought that 25zeppelins said like thousands of guitar noobs that the only way to make those harmonics is with some sort of strange pedal (different people claim to be done with different pedals) in his case i thaught he talked about a crybaby for harmonics.

  • @quilmesredlager it is quite audible

  • @quilmesredlager not used often. yes. mostly floyd, but the beginning.and a couple other parts. sorry if i wasn't specific.

  • ok ok when u say it like that yes,

but i understood u said like thousand of people that

"all that mattias does is to hit a special pedal to make that sounds", but no , its all harmonics and whammy bar.

    anyway,

a great musician mattias IA Eklundh

  • @quilmesredlager Wow, you're really angry at the thought he has a wah. That's definitely a wah you hear.

  • @quilmesredlager In fact, observe as I refute you. This video: "Musikmesse frankfurt 2009 Show Beginning Mattias Eklundh" is the start of this gig, and you directly see him activate a wah pedal. I don't even have to try and convince you it sounds like a wah, because you see him use it. Beautiful and elegant rebuttal, I feel.

  • wtf is wrong with his frets lol

  • @CkerCky True Temperament Fretting System

    badass

  • what that means? :P

  • this makes me REALLY want a crybaby!
