you're totally missing the point - nobody is saying bigger is better or "vote based on gratitude", we're saying "vote based on quality". The best music/artist/song should win not the country who has the most puppets who'll vote politically regardless of what garbage appears on stage. Nationality is irrelevant to success in the UK/US - if you produce commercially viable music you'll do well and A-HA were huge in the UK, as were Abba. This rubbish will not sell anywhere because it's crap.
And I'm completely aware of the situation with politicaly motivated votes, and that situation is less likely to get better when the Eastern European countries keeps splitting up all the time.

i really hope ISRAEL will win. it has the most memorable entry, and very good performance by BOAZ. the strong contenders i think would be sweden, ukraine, russia, latvia. i like france as well, i hope it will do well. i enjoyed bulgaria's entry. but i have high hopes for ISRAEL.

the eurovision is being stolen by the east europeans. I loved the eurovision better in the good old days before all those tiny new nations from east have joined, just to make it a contest in rewarding your neighbour countries with the scores. Eurovision is dead!

the songcontest was actually songs before, now its just a big freak show with silly idiot songs like bosnia, latvia, ireland, azerbadsjan and etc. Before they had nice slow ballads which was actually living up to the purpose of having a songcontest. Now the contest is: which east european nation has the best neigbours. I want east europe out of the whole deal, and have it back in the old days, and cut out the televotes. When belgium in 1980 sent a silly song with the old system it got low scores

haha, I agree about bosnia and ireland this year... however, verka from last year was the best ever eurovision entry! remember, it's euro-vision, it's not only the melodic side that counts... and it became much more colorful thanks to the eastern bloc! just look at the uk's conservative entry from last year - that was a joke! and their reaction was the same - neighbours voting... but that's not true, serbia for example is widely disliked, but last year had by far the best singer.
