well, i just re-watched it today. i didn't feel the romanticism acting on me today but when i saw it last, i was literally tearing. but, like fd168 suggest, she's commited so much corruption, so much mistakes and wrongs that she didn't deserve love. love in the sense of being in her lover's arm, i think she felt extremely overwhelmed by everything

so I believe that in the movie..right before she jumped, she told her lover to make a wish..and then she jumped- wanting to make that wish come true.
