This song brings back great memories of the summer of 1984 of my family driving down to Iowa City from Canada. I was 16 and this song was huge. Also the Los Angeles summer olympics were going on at the time. It was great because USA and Canada cleaned up with the medals and everyone got free food at McDonald's that summer because they ran a promotion where if the USA won gold you got a free item! LOL That was the years the Eastern Bloc (USSR, etc) boycotted. USA! USA!

Without question, my all-time favorite Pointer Sisters song! It simply reminds me of the "Heyday" of MTV, VH1, and BET, (the mid 80's) when the Pointer Sisters and countless great musical talents were showcased daily, around the clock. A truly happier time (musically), that I sincerely wish we all could get back to. To think..............All of this musical happiness was sacrificed for "I want to work for Diddy", "For the love of Ray J" "A shot of Tequilla" and "MTV Cribs". May God help us all!

I always loved this song. I slightly prefer this one to the Girls Aloud version because of that little synth element that's really upbeat - the one that comes after the first "jump" of the chorus. They look so different from even just a couple of years earlier when they did "automatic". This is one of my favourite songs of all time
