good call on Ellen. particularly when one considers that in coming out personally, and in her show, was so controversial that it resulted in its decline and eventual axing. she paid a personal price to break down barriers so that others could follow. her example paved the way for shows such as Will and Grace, QAF, and gay tv and movie characters which destigmatised gays and lesbians for many straights and those unsure, and help thousands of young people to come out to friends and family.

Rob, my question (if I'm allowed to ask) is based on Scotty's question. How do the events such as an election effect what happens in your country. I saw how excited so many Australian's were and I wondered does it really have that great of impact on you.

Channel ideas. Ad lib. Do things unexpected and some on topic issues. People appreciate young viewers views and off the wall stuff. I guess it depends on the goal of your channel. My views on Obama versus McCain. Anything is better than McCain although Hillary Clinton would have been my choice. Obama is too unknown. I hope he wasn't elected because of his skin color. (truthfully I'm a little afraid of where he is going and what his agendas are even though he claims he is for the average person)

I'm a HUGE Ellen fan.

Her 90s sitcom is probably my favorite show of all-time.

I don't know if you saw season 5 of that, but the writing was just brilliant and I watch the DVDs all the time.
