I've never heard another person that is close to being his equal vocally. While he may not have "swung" like Sinatra or entertain like Sammy, no one could sing a ballad like Andy Williams. Of course, as this video shows, he could sing up tempo swinging songs, too.

I just love Andy and I hate that there is no one like him...or ever will be again. There's a reason his voice has been deemed a "National Treasure".

theres two odd things about this video. first, its synchronised, isnt it? or could you get such a clear voice sound with a clip-on mic? (besides, the video is out of sync) second, he seems a bit like a puppet to me; his hands, mainly. but i guess that was eccentric enough at that time.

Nunca se puede robar una cancion...se pagan derechos de autor....cuando se plagia es cuando se roba fragmentos de la cancion...en otra composicion. .El Miss Venezuela ha utilizado por decadas este tema versionado y ha colocado los los derechos de autor ademas de pagarlos.....Por cierto este año en el certamen de belleza será cambiada esta composicion como himno del MV a otra composicion...!!!!...al fin ya era tiempo de modernizarla ....

Absolutely stunning. I was born the same year Mr. Williams' variety show began, and so missed the bulk of its run. It was a lucky break for me to find this DVD compilation of the best of his variety show. (This clip is shown at the opening of the DVD, introduced by the man himself- now silver of hair but still going strong.) A real singer and showman brimming with personality, kindness, amazing good looks, and a tenor pitch like no other. This 46-year-old TV junkie thanks you for this post.

Well I guess I gotta be the one to say this. This was the first part of the song, sung by Andy, and then Judy Garland pops in and sings the rest with Andy. On this episode he also sings "The Theme from the Pawnbroker" at the end of the show which I felt was very fitting for Judy's appearance in the show.

I love Andy Williams..he truly deserves the title.."Emperor Of Easy"..he truly defined class and had a voice to go with it too...this clip together with all his perfomances is a classic example of a great perfomer at his best but also a wonderful look back at those wonderful vintage years when we didn't rely on sex or profanity to entertain us..just good oldfashioned clean cut entertainment...i give this clip a 10/10.

Daveysmom - I have the Christmas dvd, I got it on ebay, maybe you could try there. I saw Andy in concert last week and for someone who is nearly eighty he doesn't look or sound it, he can still belt out a tune. I captured a little bit on my camera but alas it has no sound. Bliss!
