  • Does anyone know the song that plays during this scene*

  • in all honesty i felt so bad for the little kitty, how it went to the door and let out a little cry, i know its dumb because i should be feeling bad for daisy but...

  • ooh i know that song...haven't seen this movie...it looks good

  • This is my favourite film of all time... ever.

  • What decade was this movie taken place. I know that it came out in the 1990's, but did it come out in the Late 60's, during the 70's or early 80's?

  • When I first saw this movie I thought RW deserved the oscar based on her expressions as she walked down the hall to the bathroom.

  • "The scene where Susanna finds Daisy's body in the bathroom(my favorite scene from the movie)." Haha sounds weird

  • @tokimasa121 What decade was this movie taken place. I know that it came out in the 1990's, but did it come out in the Late 60's, during the 70's or early 80's?

  • @rockypallo the sixties

  • @123rcjm That's what I thought. Thank you!

  • @rockypallo Judging from the music, this song and "Downtown", it's clear that it is set in the 60s. Have you ever seen "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest"? Great movie. After that, they started shutting down a lot of asylums--the liberals thought that people were being inappropriately incarcerated (one of the themes of "One Flew Over...", and was partly true, and conservatives wanted to save money. But they went too far, and a lot of people who needed to be taken care of were out on the streets.

  • This scene did have an impact on me, when I first saw it in my high school psychology class. Great movie. Angelina Jolie did a damn fine performance in this film.

  • I would have thought that a girl like Susanna, having attempted suicide herself, would have been able to see this coming from a mile away. When Lisa gave Daisy a tongue-lashing the night before, there is no way that Susanna would have left her alone. She would have immediately gone upstairs and make sure that Daisy was ok.

  • @TheAgwoodliffe Yes she should, be she was having some migrane at the time and wanted to buy some food in the morning. Later in the movie, she says "i tried to talk with her, but it was too late". Very sad, but it might helped her "seeing" real death to become healthy.

  • harder to see now that Brittany died last year... :(

  • chills. serious chills.

  • It actually didn't happen like this. Lisa and Susanna weren't there and had nothing to do with it. Daisy killed herself on her birthday, and that was that. No persuasion or provoking.

  • Just don't get this movie.

  • @MsJustjuice What do you not get?

  • великолепное кино!

  • Oh god, this song is definetly the saddest song in the whole world :(

  • Angelina is hilarious, but this scene is so good. Best i've ever seen.

  • It was so weird watching this scene cause you knew what was on the other side of the door but it was still super tense.

  • she blinked!

  • Make it a hearse...

  • As I clicked on this link, "gonna get along without you now" started on Windows Media Player - was funny in a demented kind of way lol.

brutal and painful scene though :(, more so when you see the little abusive episode before it, and more so when you've never seen the movie before. Especially if you've been in a similar situation yourself as Daisy was...

  • this scene hauntd me. it gave me nightmares, seriously. I shouldn't even be watching it again righ tnow.....

  • absolutley one of the funniest scences i'v've ever saw.

  • That song makes the scene even more eerie.

  • Skeeter Davis....even her name is errie. Skeeter? Reminds me of Mama's Family.@ketchuplittletomato

  • this is my fav scene

  • so creepy it looks like the corpse is talking at one point

  • :( Wow Daisy got treat like a piece of garbage. Just shows how people can be so cold in the face of someone who is calling out for love and emotional stability.

  • aww that kitty was trying to get her attention b/c it knew that Daisy hung herself :( :( :( so so sad

-I hated angelina in this movie. well in general, but especially in this movie.

  • this is so sad, especially since brittany's passing :(

  • If you love this moving you should read the book. It is so amazing. I love this movie and the book so much.

  • I love this movie. I really want to get the book it looks good

  • The book is amazing! Its one of my favorite books of all time.

  • p.s This scene scares the shit out of me

  • Amazing acting, by all 3 girls

  • :(:(:(:(:(:(

  • I had a feeling for the past few years that Brittany was going to die, I had a gut feeling & it happened, it was so sad she died so young. I loved her spirit, her movies & how genuine she was to everyone she met. She was a true soul!!

    Brittany will be truly missed!

  • R.I.P Brittany Murphy, we miss you very much.

    you will never be forgotten

  • Jolie said it best :what an idiot.........

  • I STRONGLY AGREE!.....Wait bitches don't get mad. besides Brittany Murphy died from cardiac arrest!

  • @ evry1sADDICTION

    . . . caused by drugs 0_o

  • wow, someone gave you a thumbs down!haha it's the truth though.

  • She shouldnt be remembered for that even if it is true or not. She had friends and loved ones too just like I am sure you do. She should be remembered for her great acting and what a beautiful person she was while she was on this earth.

  • what difference does it make how the poor girl died why do you have to make a coonection between a film and reality, She passed away leave her in peace some of you should really think what if it were your family GOD

  • Daisy Randone died by hanged herself in the tub ..

These days, Brittany Murphy died in the tub ..

    so tragicaly..

  • she didn't die in the tub she collapsed on her bathroom floor!!

  • Sooo sad

    i wish brittany didnt die

    :(

  • Dangggg! what did you have against her?!? She didn't give you an autograph???

  • After seeing this movie just once many years ago, this scene STILL sticks in my mind to this day........and unfortunately was the role I most remembered Brittany Murphy for. What was a sad scene at first is now somewhat disturbing to see with her death today. It makes me wonder if life was imitating art (not in the way that she died that is), in that both her and her movie character had demons that they were dealing with, which they couldn't conquer.

    R.I.P Brittany Murphy.

  • rip brittany murphy :( THIS SCENE IS NOW EVEN SADDER!

  • my favorite scene, too. or the most memorable...

  • See, cats know everything.

  • I remember watching this for the first time. This scene, and the scene leading up to it, just about made me bawl. It's so sad.

  • The song's called The End Of The World by Skeeter Davis.

  • oh!i just saw it in the comments!

  • what's the song called?

  • Good scene... It's so sad. :(

  • hey quisiera saber como es que se llama la cancion que sale en esa parte????

i just wana know wath its the name of the song in these part

  • End of the world , Skeeter Davis, 1963.

  • Daisy was my fav in the movie

    She's so cute

  • this scene is very sad, one of my favourite

  • What an idiot.

  • as insensitive as it was...Angelina Jolie's character in this movie said a lot of things that made me laugh

Like "what an idiot." and the part where winona said i need an ambulance and angelina says "make it a hearse."

I dont know if that makes me screwed up but i find it funny

  • @AVA1507

Yeah there was a during the "pill swapping" sequence in Daisy's room that made me laugh, then I felt sorry for Daisy right after with the look on her face...

I think Lisa says something like "you know what I think, I think you need a poop, I think it's been days..." just her face and delivery of the line lol

  • note: stay out of the nuthouse

  • Oh my god. I hate this scene..but i also love it. Even though it brings back bad memories... :'(

  • Thank you for putting this up. I couldn't find this particular scene on Youtube and it's my favorite also, next to Lisa's monologue.

  • hahahahaha I KNOW RITE..i dont get why these bitches put thumbs down, it's your honest opineon....they should atleast respect it...a little

  • For some reason, Daisy's face was a lot more blue in my memory. Then again, I was 13 when I first saw this film, and this scene just made me sick to my stomach. It was the first dead body I'd ever seen in an R rated film. Suicides always make me sick. Idk why really. Seeing this again, it's not so bad, and this is a really great scene with these two talented ladies. This is really my favorite film for both of them. They played their roles so well.

  • I agree! I thought it was more blue too

  • the scene is so impactful, this song will forever remind me of this film.

  • What version of this song is playing?

  • i think julie london

  • It is "The end of the world" By Skeeter Davis

  • Skeeter Davis

  • skeeter davis version!

    @nosalvation88

  • "Oh what an idiot..." Jolie is awesome

  • I know Love her! I'm going to watch this movie now because this scene is awesome.

  • "Make it a Hearse!" Hah.

  • Oh, man this scene. I can't even listen to this song without getting chills.

  • Winona was so good when she opened the door. her reaction was great. i give props to angelina as well, cause she was like "oh what an idiot" cause her character doesn't give a crap. good actresses!!

  • Best scene EVER!!

  • "But she's been playing that SH*T all MORNING!"

    lol

    Angelina was perfect as Lisa

all of these women are amazing actresses

    Poor Daisy :-(

  • mine too, whats the name and artist of the song? i wanna make an amv to it

  • The song is 'The End of the World' and the singer is Skeeter Davis. This song is awesome! Shocking scene though.

  • Poor Daisy needed help like me

  • this movie is the best ever,I love angie's charector Lisa ecspeically when she breaksdown about noone pushing her buttons.

  • i was in vegas last month, and at one point one of the days, we walked outta the elevator in our hotel and this song was playing. it was creepy at second thought, but when i first heard it, it put a big smile on my face...as wierd as that may sound. the song is just so dreamy and dramatic, and noir i think? i love it. Can't Cry These Tears by Garbage (from beautifulgarbage) reminds me of this song :) i agree: fave scene

  • i love how cold hearted lisa is, and angelina jolie played the part very well

  • Name the music pliz?

    SORRY I'M FRENCH :)

  • The song is: End of the world - Skeeter davis.

    :)*

  • The song is: End of the world - Skeeter davis.

    :)*

  • THANKS!!!!! i've been looking for it for such a long time!!! ;)

  • this scene did everything that i think it was supposed to. the cat, the song, winona's acting scared and hesitant to open the bathroom door. it was so powerful and stayed with me long after i left the movie theatre. one of my favorite movies of all time.

  • ahhhhhh :(

  • I feel sorry for Daisy, but I do think she liked it when her father abused her, that doesn't stop it from being abuse though.

As Lisa says, it was all she had ever known, and was probably in denial about it.

It just shows you how much incestous sexual abuse can fuck a person up.

  • For Some reason the cat made it even more sad..and yeah the song works perfectly

  • this scene was so powerful and fucked up at the same time. I absolutly adore lisa, the music fit so perfectly too.

  • Now THIS is sad. This has something on Titanic.

  • oh what an idiot im refering to daisy lisa and i were the same susi q u rock

  • Its my fav scene too.. the song was perfectly fitted.. *shivers down my spine*

  • Skeeter Davis - The End of the World

  • Oh I love this movie... and the music in the background...does anybody know what it is... what is this song called?

  • damn she really pressd her buttons

  • Susie Q is the name of a popular song at the time the story took place.

  • "susanna dont be stupid.....alright be stupid"

    lol

  • when does angelina hiss at the cat??

  • dear god! i don't know why, but this scene bothe scares the shit out of me, and makes me want to write at the same time.

    thanks for posting!

  • i still cant bear to watch the part where it shows her hanging :(

  • The song "Irvine" by Kelly Clarkson would fit perfectly with this clip.

  • i heard that when brittany murphy was doing this scene(yes she really did it..they attached wires to her and stuff) that she kept crying so they had to do a bunch of takes. im pretty sure i wouldve been crying too. but i love this movie. and its characters. the book is good too.

  • This scene is so sad.

  • This thing can happen everyday and if anyone of you have ever been in a 'funny farm' you will know that this film shows how things work in there in quiet a true way (even though we have moved on a few years since then), it dont mean you're a total nutter.Miss jolie is amaizing in this. The music that they put with this clip was real good too.thanx

  • all the people moved by this film could have a morbid side, sincerely, a sort of complacency in sad things!

  • his is a good part and it alo follows up when lisa is telling daisy off itwold go much better but thatnks for posting this up really its a great movie

  • Winona is a better actress than Angelina though. It's easier to make more of an ""insane" part like she did here. Come to think of it...was Angelina acting at all?:P

  • Everything that happend when they reached daisy's house was awesome. Winona is great but both Angelina, and Murphy eclipsed her in this film. I agree with MrMidwest though...the scene before this one is so necessary

  • i just saw the movie last night and it was awesome!!

    thanks for posting this.

  • oh my god!! i love this movie!!!! this is one of my fav parts too!! :-)

  • could somebody please put up the scene where lisa and susannna are at daisys house and lisa is telling daisy off the best scene in the entire movie im tellin you

  • the volume needs to be raised. i love angies acting. she doesnt perform as well anymore.

  • Tell that to the guy who ripped the movie ;p

  • the music is Skeeter Davis - The End Of The World

  • I think Winona's reaction is what really sells this scene. That and seeing the lovely Brittany Murphy hanging by her neck. Poor Brittany. :(

  • Can someone please post the scene before this where Lisa says all those harsh things to Daisy?

  • can barley hear it

  • sad movie. Winona she great, must get some award

  • great movie and amazing video

  • i love this movie and lisa and susanna!

  • That is the saddest scene in the movie! POOR DAISY!

  • i love skeeter davis. and this movie.

  • great movie. whered u get the clip?

  • lol i love angelina... "no. but shes been PLAYING THAT SHIT ALL MORNING"

  • lol thats my fav part to

  • how can that be a fav scene?thast sad and horrible

  • ONE OF MY FAV SCENE!

  • NICE SONG AND GOOD MOVIE BRITNEY MURPHY IS HILARIOUS. I LIKE WHEN SHE SMACKED THE ICE CREAM OUT OF THAT GIRLS HAND GET THAT OUT OF MY FACE YOU ASSHOLE
