@RedneckPrimeMinister first off, ditch the 1.5" pipes if the diameter you said is actually what you are using. You are not letting that engine breath with such a pewny exhaust. Go to dual 2.5" pipes, and YOU chose where you want the pipes to exit the truck.

@MyCoolAimName1 Tell that to my 96 sierra 5.7 with bad solenoids and just under 200k. A lot has to do with taking care of your stuff. If you beat on it, change fluids, etc. more often.

That's about the closest I think i'll find to how I want my new exhaust setup. From one FSC member to another that sounds awesome, I bet it's even deeper in person since camera's never do any justice to deep V8 exhausts.

no gmc doesnt own chevy. GM owns chevy and gmc, both are divisons just likc cadilac, buick, pontiac, saturn, etc.
usually gmcs offer better trim in some ways but depending on the years it more or less the same exact thing.

there wasnt much of a difference in the past, but now chevy usually puts a lot of chrome of their trucks. gmc doesn't so it just gives people a choice on what their truck looks like. for some reason, mostly chevys are sold to people looking for 1500s and mostly city driving. upper class people usually think the chevys have way too much chrome, so its alot easier to find 2500 and 3500 gmc's since thats whats needed to tow large 5th wheel camper trailers and such.

They are both owned by General Motors. GMC was formed when GM bought "Rapid Motor Vehicle Company" and "Reliance Motor Truck Company" to for their own General Motors Truck Company (Buick/Olds/Caddy didnt have any trucks in the early 1900's). I think GMC became a company in 1912. After the 70's they all looked the same except for a few trim pieces. But generally GMC offered a top trim level that was higher than Chevy's highest trim level I think.

@ lxSLATORxl: Size doesn't matter too much, more like what does your engine need to help it get the exhaust out efficiently. You don't need huge tips or pipes to have an awesome sounding truck. Pipes too big, or too small will hurt your power output.

OK, what im tryin to say is that newer chevys, when I say newer, i mean 80's and up suck cause of poor decisions by GM, crappy body styles and interior. For example the monte carlo is front whhel drive with a v6, seriously, c'mon now, and the new impala's, thats a joke, the early 90's impala ss were cool lookin, but, thats it.
