i think anyone who actually looks at the arab/isreali ocnflict from a truly objective point can see that Arab nations and Israel share equal blame for the climate of unrest, destruction, and death. I read Carter's book, and what he basically says is that the Palestinians are caught right in between a power struggle between Israel who wants to hold on to it's tiny piece of real-estate and the rest of the arab world who want that real estate back.
