The biggest giveaway here is that Milo isn't looking directly out of the screen, down the barrel of a camera - he's looking off to the right, where Claire is supposed to be. Imagine it from Claire's perspective - Milo would still appear to be looking off to her right. This is a TV screen, not the Mona Lisa. I don't know how everyone failed to notice this at the time.
