A wonderful song Sharon! You sang and played it beautifully and the lyrics were terrific! If only we did have a remote control for our lives (fast forward and rewind...LOL)... I enjoyed your song very much! ... FrAnK (★★★★★)
Its nice to see a song evolve. The very beginning of the melody is like George Harrison's "Is'nt it a pity" but it's all the better for that.Keep up the good work.I have two CD's released through Claddagh Records of my own stuff so i have a particular interest in songwriting. The more good lyrics out there the better i say.Oh you are also left handed i notice.Scilaachi.
Hi Sharon! I like this version, too...I think a little more laid back and comfortable...sometimes it takes us some time get the complete feel of our own songs. Am I dreaming or weren't you playing right-handed last time? ;)
The way you feel initially about the song is what's important - all the rest is window dressing - and you will learn the appropriate dressing for each child - so don't force it - let it flow naturally and never stop...I enjoy your music. -Z
...meanwhile.. I listened over and over to the taped lesson.. I don't know if I can do everything, but I know I got something out of it... (at least I hope so) lol.
thanks for letting me share =) You know it clears my head. ~Shaz
I am at the point now where all I want to do is hit the Rewind, haha :o) It nice to hear a different version of it, Sharon. I like the way you do it this time to. -Ron
Today at my lesson, I was redoing ithe song with my teacher.. She took my song and it sounded great... I have to learn how to BUILD the crescendo into the chorus and bridge...
It's all a learning process...
It comes from experience ... and you just keep doing...
This is a very pretty song with a lot of potential, I must say I preferred your vocals on the previous version, where you were more animated and expressive. Many thanks for sharing.
I like that analogy...we bring them - our songs - into the world... and like 24 hours ago did you even know it was going to be there... and now here it is... and what's going to happen to it...
as we nurture it along.... Great comment! Thanks, Trevor Sizzle
I really enjoyed this. You just went for it... it seemed easy and fun... it seemingly flowed effortlessly and beautifully. That spur of the moment thing, yes, you caught the magic.
Now that I hear it I am glad you reworked this song. The changes are great, and btw spur of the moment is when all the magic happens. Oh yeah and you can really rock the ball cap look. 5 stars for the hat and 500 stars for the song. Thanks for sharing it with me.
I may still rework it... put in "trip trip" lyrics...
AND... I'm hearing on the vid that the placement of the microphone should have been on the other side... since I look at my fingers haha...
Still... it's good I redid it...
(You like the hat.. we went to a Met game at CitiField on Wed. and I bought it... though we're Yankee fans...it's NY... and it's such a cool cap...haha..
Tell me about it :) - there is never enough time... and then sometimes time just stands still.. and you wait and wait...
I think perhaps in fast forward I want to peek into the future and see what else there is... but then I'm satisfied, I suppose with the way things are... (I'm gonna put that up like that..
Zach you're a doll... thank you for your comment. I did switch a few words, but it's okay. The look is in a rush - music comes first.. I'm still tweaking this.... you know it. Thanks for being first. ~Sharon :)
