She is so animated and that is her true appeal. You can have a great voice but if people hate you you still fail. She is so energetic and happy. There doesn't appear to be a god complex with her, so people fell that can and want to relate to her. The fact that she has that voice is just icing on the cake.

An incredible legend Cecelia has become. She is unique and without comparison today. So much of her is about the soul and heart of the music and how great artists express their own personal genius. I remember her saying a quite a few years back that she wouldn't touch French music until she learned to speak it fluently. I respect that. She definitely speaks it now.

I saw Cecilia live in concert about 10 years ago. I brought a CD with me for some reason and after the show I had the opportunity to meet her and have it signed. At the time her English was limited, but she was so gracious with all her fans. She had such an infectious smile and an obvious exuberance for life. Certainly a moment I'll never forget.
