Well, let us hope the Scots in 2014 vote for Independence then they won't get dragged into these internecine, dirty little conflicts from nobs in Westminster, they can be a proud country away from conflict, leave it to the fools in London to decide who they want to fight next, Erin go Braigh agus Alba go bra
i have this on dvd , its the most powerfull thing ive ever seen it makes me proud to be a scot or rather a fighting scot. Cant watch this without welling up
Awesome performance! Covered it as a final year University essay...should be made into a movie!!! Bring home our boys!!! And to all those service men and women out there....Gods Speed!!!
I hate plays, I've always hated plays, always thought they were boring, fruity, and lame. After Black Watch my respect for performance arts has had a complete turn around. Seriously, this play kicks fucking ass. Chills ran through my skin in the end and all the jokes reminded me of the shit my friends I would always say. I highly recommend that everyone see it because it can relate to anyone directly or indirectly affected by war.
I watched this as the Warwick Art Centre last week and I was in tears during the finale. It was absolutely fantastic, it's definitley something I'd recommend to someone else. And I'm glad I have the chance to watch it again, thank you :)
This was truly epic piece of theatre. Watched it a few days ago at Warwick Arts Centre. My only criticism of this would have to be the audience. They barely laughed at any of the jokes. Everything else was incredible. Preferred watching it Live
@CommanderSnuffles Absolutely sure it's "November" by Max Richter. You'll hear the part you're referring to about 2 and a half minutes in. Was just doing some looking myself. :L
@CommanderSnuffles the music outside of the traditional stuff is 'Last Days' by Max Richter...I think its such an amazing piece that fits this scene so well
i saw this on saturaday....the end made my cry, not because it was really sad but because of the over wheelming acting and atmoshpere. It was just so intense and beautiful, it is easily the best play i have ever seen.
i cry all the time at the end :(
