guys im from greece and the soldiers were not dressed like that.whiteye588 is right.im from greece so i know that.and we were not fighting like that.we fought using kleftopolemos or in english thiefwar. kleftes (thieves) of course they didnt steal with the meaning we use nowadays but thats how they were called.kleftopolemos may seems a bit strange but it was pretty efficient as the greek army wasnt so strong to face the ottoman army so hiding and shooting at the same time gave us an advantage.

No... and i mean NO kind of guerrila warfare can defeat anything more than forage or scout parties, guarding the main corps. Yeah some guerrila fights here and there are glorified by our teachers in schools, but the serious fights, the ones that mattered, where exactly what you dont expect: muzzle to muzzle by line infantry, even if the majority were irregulars.
